loyal card carrier, like to pay my bills in total
I have had a Citbank AAdvantage Platinum Mastercard for many years. I like this card because I belong to American Airlines frequent flier program and I receive a reward of one mile for every dollar I spend using the card. I love the idea of being rewarded for spending money. Actually, I prefer to pay cash for my purchases, however, as long as I have the cash to pay off the bill in full each month, I might as well build up my frequent flyer miles free of charge. — Right now, Citibank has a 20th anniverary Promotion that allows you to earn 20,000 bonus miles after…

All my other platinum cards come with no annual fee except for this one. — What I get back in benefits with the air mileage makes up for it and then some. — Not sure how the changes in the travel business will affect how the miles are earned and what I can redeem them for. In the past I have been able to transfer miles to Hilton HHonors for hotel points. This allowed my wife and I discounts on air travel, car rental and free hotel stays when we vacationed. —…

Every day computer user, an moderate investor
Citi's AAdvantage card is the absolute WORST credit card I have ever used. Although I paid off my balancees in full every month I would keep getting mystery finance charges show up on my card statements. I had to call in almost every month to have them removed. In addition, when my purse was stolen, all my credit card companies waived the fraudulent charges (i had called in to report the stolen cards within a half hour), but Citi made me fill out form after form to even consider taking the charges off. Finally, it took me MONTHS to cancel my card. Even after my card was cancelled I kept…

in debt, paying cash, Every day computer user, an moderate investor, an aggressive saver, married, practical, love to travel
The CitiAdvantage card is a nice one to have. I fly American Airlines a lot and the miles add up quickly especially when you use the card to buy your airline tickets. — — Redemption is always easy. — — My only complaint is that there is a yearly fee often associated with this card unless you have stellar credit. Mine is in the low 700's so I'm not sure what the "magic" level is for them to change how much they charge, but I keep on them to try and get the fee eliminated. Each time (which is something I think you need to do with EVERY credit card you…

I have this card, I am going through a divorce and lost my job at the same time. They didn't work with me at all and when I missed two payments of 120 each they decided to give me an extra 2000 dollars in fees. Do not get behind, for my minimum payment to catch back up they want almost 1000 for missing 240 worth. Be careful with citi and don't get behind. As far as thier response everyone goes through something and I should not have missed my payments.…

very happy with this product, appreciative of good service, online banker, thrifty, interest conscious, researcher, Every day computer user
I'm a frequent traveler, and although I don't use the card enough to accumulate so many points as to qualify for a free ticket often, I've already used a free ticket through the generous introductory offer for 20,000 points (25,000 is the minimum for a domestic ticket). I'm also very happy with the absence of a preset limit, because I use this card often when…

pay my cc bill off each month, expecting good, fair service, a comparison shopper
Initial account opening incentives included a buy one get one free coupon for future flight. Being that I knew I was flying for a friend's wedding, I accepted this credit card SPECIFICALLY for the BOGO flight coupon. My end of the deal was to make a number of purchases and they would send the BOGO coupon in 8 - 12 weeks. On the 8th week I phoned to see how things were going, and no one could help me until the full 12 weeks had passed - which by that time when I did call I needed the coupon in my hand. One operator told me to phone back tomorrow to get a code; one…
