Citi - AAdvantage Platinum Mastercard Review

I have had a Citbank AAdvantage Platinum Mastercard for many years.  I like this card because I belong to American Airlines frequent flier program and I receive a reward of one mile for every dollar I spend using the card.  I love the idea of being rewarded for spending money.  Actually, I prefer to pay cash for my purchases, however, as long as I have the cash to pay off the bill in full each month, I might as well build up my frequent flyer miles free of charge.

Right now, Citibank has a 20th anniverary Promotion that allows you to earn 20,000 bonus miles after you make $750 in purchases within four months of becoming a cardmember.  And you can earn an additional 10,000  bonus miles after you make $10,000 in purchases during the first and second years.

The folks at Citibank are just wonderful in the Customer Service Department.  They will even telephone you if there has been any suspicious activity in your account.  Whenever there are any extremely large purchases -- they call and verify that you made the purchase before they put it on your card.  And, should your card be stolen or misplaced and someone uses that card fraudulently, you have zero liability on any unauthorized charges.

I would recommend this credit card to anyone who wants to build up their frequent flyer miles with American Airlines.
