Based in Montreal, Canada, Cirque Du Soleil has travelled all over the world. Today Las Vegas showcases one Cirque Du Soleil troupe, while another, the signiture show called Saltimbanco, travels to cities across the US and Canada.

It's a combination of Dr. Seuss meets Ringling Brothers meets the Olympics meets Charlie Chaplin. Before the show even starts, you'll enter into a surreal world filled with a mysterious language and humor. The troupe filters through the audience (namely the highest dollar seats) and interacts with the audience members.

A few examples:

1) Unsuspecting attractive woman lead up by two male performers. She's asked to mimic their actions, which is to raise both arms. They then flip her over.

2) Similar act with a larger man, sans for the flip. Instead, they tickle.

3) A young boy is placed a top one of the performers and is lead around. Amazing to watch!

Throughout the show, there will be few moments when your mouth won't be hanging open in amazement. A live band (sadly mainly playing cheesey 80s-like porn music) provides lively music to match the mood, and performances will amaze you. From pole jumping to the trapeze (30-40 feet above the floor), from a humour mime act to an amazing drum/tap/wooden ball act, there is never a time when the show lags.

Audience participation is at an all-time high, which is a nice change of pace. Saltimbanco himself is a master mime (you'll recongize him in shorts, suspenders and a red baseball cap).

An A+ performance that shows the skill and grace and the true strength of the human body. These are true experts in their art and deserve to be honored as such!
