Cingular - AT&T Tilt Cell Phone Review

Designed for the mobile business person, the Tilt phone meets the needs of someone on the go who doesn't want to carry a laptop everywhere.  I was initially looking for a phone with a generous screen, a full keyboard and an internet connection.  The Tilt phone exceeded my expectations by having the ability to work with the Microsoft products I use on a daily basis and I can maneuver through the internet quickly with the touch screen.

I'm not big on using the camera, but the few photos I've taken looked pretty good.  Its primary use for me is to send goofy things to my friends in text messages, so perfect picture quality is not high on my priority list.

The full keyboard and the tilt screen makes texting and internet surfing quick and easy.  Those of you with large hands could probably write emails holding the phone in the palm of your hand and using your thumb to type in the letters.  The Tilt phone is not tiny.  I bought a simple leather case so it's much thicker, but it still fits nicely in my purse, briefcase and most of my clutches.

Using a micro sd chip is mandatory if you plan to use the phone as an mp3 player like I do.  And with the ability to receive and create documents, you'll need the room to save and organize your files.  The Adobe reader was a pleasant surprise.  I never realized how often I work with PDF files, so that was a big plus.

I have not had any problems with my phone since I've gotten it. Before the Tilt I owned its predecessor, the HTC, and had no problems with that one either.  Aside from the occasional soft resets (which should be done regularly anyway), I have no complaints.

If you are considering buying the Tilt phone and you use reviews to help you decide, you'll come across some horror stories.  Just remember that every phone out there will have its share of duds.  That's what replacements are for.  With the Tilt phone you'll see that the positive feedback will outweigh the negative feedback by a longshot.
