My children are terminally ill. This hospital is one of four that have a comprehensive care center for their disease. They are very caring and careful. They love my children. They are very concerned with working as a team within the 20 doctors that they see. Wonderful place! They are forever expanding their disciplines. They are up to date on care and technology.

My Daughter was born 10 weeks prematurely, weighing just 1 lb. and 12 oz. She was born at a different hospital (Children's Hospital is NOT a birthing hospital). After 4 weeks at her birthing hospital, which was just about 10 min away from Childen's, our daughter contracted MRSA-- Methacilin Resistant Staph Aureus. This is a contageous infection that is often passed around hospitals. Unfortunately there were some other Preemies who had it before our daughter and so it was "catchy" and our daughter got it. She was moved to a small isolation room and started to get better but needed to stay in... review »

My son was born with a birth defect called hypospadias.  He was born at Good Samaritan.  The pediatrician at Good Sam referred us to a specialist (urologist) at Chidren's the same day our son was born.  The urologist at Children's explained that surgery was needed to correct the birth defect.  At 6 months my son had what was supposed to be outpatient surgery.  My son did not respond well to the anesthesia and everything went downhill from there.  They admitted him and we were there for a few days.  I was amazed at how caring the staff was...doctors, nurses, and janitorial staff alike. ... review »

My daughter was born a month early with special needs. We weren't aware of that and when she was born, she was rushed to childrens where we lived there for about 3 weeks. Childrens Hospital was the only reason i made it through. They treated us with respect and explained everything so we could understand it. I thought i was going to lose my daughter and they keep me strong and in the fight every day. It still bring tears to my eyes to think about it. My daughter is doing a lot better and growing stronger everyday!!! Thank you so much Chrildrens RNIC!!!!!

After having a child in the Regional Intensive Care Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (RICNIC- as CHMC calls it) I can and do speak VERY highly about Children's Hospital in Cincinnati!  My Daughter is now 11 years old and has been diagnosed with Scoliosis.  The thing that is calming me down?  The fact that we are going to see a Pediatric Ortho. at .... Children's!  I don't know what lies ahead, I just know we will get the best care for our Daughter right there!

The staff at this facility is unbelievably caring!  You are not just another patient, you are a person.  They care for the entire family!  I have had many dealing with CHMC including spine surgery for my 15 year old daughter and I wouldn't have her go anywhere else!  They did an excellent job!

I was born at a nearby hospital but diagnosed with Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and needed special care. I am very appreciative of the treatment i received during my many stays there over the years. Even though i was sick, i have good memories of the staff and crafts!

I had a very bad experience with this hospital regarding my son. Early last year the neurology team misdiagnosed my son and proceeded to start him on medication to treat something he didn't have. To make matters worse they dosed him for an adult male and almost killed him.
