Anyone who plans to visit London should consider a day to see the Churchill Cabinet & War Museum. There are actually two parts to the museum. The price of admission includes both the self guided audio tour of the bunkers used by Churchill and his staff between 1941 & 1945 and the museum of Churchill history and artifacts. Churchill & his staff did all of their war planning during the Battle of Britian from these bunkers. Though he only slept in these quarters a few times, his staff and their admin people worked, slept & ate there for four years. The rooms have all been restored to the way they looked prior to V-E day.
The museum is loaded with state of the art interactive displays that are interesting for kids but are geared to attract adults. You can easily spend a day trying to take it all in. The neat thing is that it is within a short walk of Parliament, 10 Downing Street, The Eye Of London (ferriswheel), Trafalgar Square and many other great sites. London isa happening town.
