I fell in love with the style of the PT Cruiser. The price was right and both the wife and teenage son fit inside perfectly. — We have loved this car since driving it off the lot. It has been on roadtrips, grocery runs, mall shopping and late night drive thru cravings. Everything fits inside great and it handles wonderfully. The ride is smooth and comfortable. Never having owned anything other than a Toyota, this is a nice introduction to Chrysler. — The PT Cruiser was our way of getting an SUV feel without breaking the bank. The PT Cruiser is a nice looking car. It's compact and the total amount you can drive one off the lot for is very reasonable. With a 25% down-payment and good credit, you can drive one off with substantially low monthly payments, depending on the duration of the loan. It seems well-worth the price, but the downside is that you never get to know a car with a mere test drive. You only become familiar with a car once you purchase it and actually begin driving freeway miles and city traffic. The moral of my tale is, "don't go El Cheapo" and buy below your…

This is the 2007 PT Cruiser that I rented.
With the driver's seat set for me, there is okay room in the back seat. However, the space quickly becomes cramped with taller front-seat occupants.
The gauges are nice in a retro kind of way.
Here's how the controls look to the driver.
Power window switches are on the center console between the two round air vents. That is potentially convenient but I found it very odd.
