Hypnotic Poison is listed as having the top notes of Almond, Caraway and Jasmine. You will also definitley smell vanilla but it is not the sugary, sickly-sweet vanilla that is in most fragrances.

The first time I smelled it I was fragrance-shopping, smelling all the different bottles and this hit me upside the head. It smelled like nothing else I was smelling. It smelled feminine without pink frilly bows. It smelled mature but not old. It smelled bold without being a ton of bricks.

It smelled sexy.

Hypnotic Poison is well worth the premium price. It takes just one or two spritzes and you're set. It will stick around all day (and then some). The bottle is virtually indestructable - mine has survived three moving sessions, being dropped on bathroom floors and a toddler getting ahold of it.

I am extremely picky about fragrances and this is 1 of 3 in my lifetime I have found that I like.
