Chihuahuas Dog Breed Review

I got a chihuahua about a year ago, named basil. He is a sweet heart and I love him dearly. I would suggest this dog for anyone who loves a little lap dog that really seems to love them unconditionally.

They are small, don't eat a lot, are easy to care for, and put up with a lot (like being dressed).

They don't like strangers though. Mine will bark, and bark at anyone that he does not know. And will shake when they try to give them attention.

He took to being in a pen very well. He sleeps in it during the day with the door open because it is comforting for him. He will also sleep there throughout the night. They like to burrow in blankets and clothing and being covered up, which is too cute. This allows us to pen him where there are guests in the house, which reduces his stress levels.

They don't like to be away from their family, so if you are out a lot they are probably not a good breed for you, they love attention, and will some times get naughty when they are left alone. Which can be solved by putting them in a pen for short amounts of time.
