My daughter is 11 months, and while many of my friends had switched to toddler carseats by now, my baby is still getting good use out of her infant carseat. This is a very light carseat which makes it easy to carry baby. I love being able to put my baby in her carseat while we're still home, then carry her to the car and snap the seat in the base. Very convenient. It was very helpful when she was a new baby and it was winter. I'd bundle her up in her seat and she went straight from home to car barely feeling the cold. This carseat is also easy to clean. Snapping the seat in and out of the base is easy. If you buy the stroller then the carseat snaps in and out of that easily too and is very convenient if your baby has fallen asleep in her carseat. Once my daughter had a blowout diaper in the seat and I had to remove the cover to wash it. It was very easy and fast. Putting it back on was a little hard and confusing though, but might have been easier if I had the instructions. It comes with...
...

This infant carseat has been a lifesaver for many reasons. First of all, my daughter uses it for her baby. She has the carseat, as well as the matching base. Her baby is currently four months old, and at 17 pounds, still fits in it without any issues. Some of the features that are especially great are... 1) Easy to adjust straps so that as the baby grows, you can easily refeed the straps so that the seat secures the baby properly. Now that it is winter, she sometimes has very heavy coats on. We need to be able to loosen or tighten easily, and this seat makes that no problem at all. 2) It has an infant insert, which is a cushioned cover that helps the seat to better "cuddle" the baby. I feel like this feature helps the seat to hold my granddaughter much better. When she gets bigger, we can just remove it. She is 17 pounds, and it still works best using the insert. 3) The base makes getting the seat in and out of the car SOOOO easy! It also makes it easy to...
...

I have really enjoyed having our Chicco Keyfit Carseat for our daughter. We used it from the day she was born. The instructions were easy to follow when installing it into our cars and the safety ratings that we have read have been really highly rated. Having a safe carseat was a must for us. The price of this one was worth it and allowed us to feel better when traveling with our baby in the car. Its portability allows us to carry her from the house directly to the car and vice versa, which is really nice when it's cold outside or when she is asleep. Our daughter seems to find it comfortable and sleeps in it often. The straps are padded and easy to adjust to fit her as she continues to grow. There are built in levelers that allow you to make sure that the carseat is properly installed and level on the seat in the car. The padding in the carseat is easily washable and even includes a built in headrest and neck support for the really early months in a baby's life.
...

This car seat was extremely easy to install. I love that the base has a level and an adjustible foot that makes it very easy to get the height right without stuffing towels under the base! I thought that ths seat had someof the best padding of all of the carseats I looked at at several stores and it seemed like it would be very comfortable. My sons back did get pretty hot but he is hot natured anyway so I can't blame that on the fabric for sure. The car seat is a little wider than I would have liked especially since I had to get it into the back of a coupe. It was a tight squeeze and involved a bit of a roller coaster ride for my son but he never seemed to mind!

The car seat got great saftey ratings and the year I bought it 2008, it was at the top of the list. This meant that EVERYONE else had it. I never really used it as a travel system though since my son hated not being held every moment of the day :) I have since started using the stroller for my son who is now a toddler and I really...
...

We love this car seat. We just wish that the car seat would attach to grocery carts. I do not like the fact that I have to put my child in the large part of the grocery cart it takes up a lot to room. The carseat is easy to use and pretty light. Plus, the fabric is a little warm for our son. He tends to sweat like crazy from this seat. But, overall we have been quite pleased with this seat. We feel that is a great purchase for someone looking for a great seat. Also, are son was a NICU baby and all the doctors were impressed with our seat which made taking our son home easier.

I would for sure recommend this seat to a friend. I like the design of the seat and can now be used for our future daughter.
...

amyjo248 says "Great Carseat for baby little or big - Keyfit 30" about Chicco KeyFit

Looked at lots of reviews before committing to our first car seat and could not have made a better choice. Note this is for the Keyfit 30, not just the Keyfit. The Keyfit 30 has an insert so it can safely hold a really little baby like our preemie, and yet at the same time it is just a little bit bigger so they don't outgrow it too soon. You can keep your little one in this seat until they are 30 inches or 30 pounds which is a huge benefit. It looks super comfy and I loved being able to move him around without waking him up. Until we moved to the next level of carseat I had no idea how EASY it was to use. You can adust the straps in a flash and easy to get in and out of.

You have to get the base - and I recommend an extra base for each extra car. Because with the base you can snap them in in a flash and you know it is perfectly safe.
...

wlj2082 says "The Keyfit 30 is a great seat if you have the room." about Chicco KeyFit

This is a great car seat. It is safe, durable, reliable. One great feature that you won't find in the specs is that it has a round bottom, unlike some carseats. So when you take it out you can keep a sleeping baby rocking while waiting for an appointment or watching TV. It is easy to adjust and wash out. I have big babies, and it fits them until they are a year, if you choose to keep yours in that long. Only down side is not many strollers state compatibility with this car seat and Chicco doesn't really make that great of a stroller. I would not recommend buying this as a travel system, but go find your own stroller that fits your needs and try the carseat in it to make sure it's a good fit. Also, this is a bigger carseat. So if you need to fit three kids in a back seat made for three, good luck. Not many car seats are that small. Overall this is a safe carseat for a good price. I also love the orange color.
...

I cannot say enough good things about our Chicco carseat. It is easy to use and very safe. It was so easy to install that we could leave it with the grandparents and they could install it without any problems. The fabric is easy to wash and does not stain. The straps are really easy to adjust and never got tangled. There is an infant body and head insert which is really nice. I did have to buy an extra insert though when the baby was first born. The seat is heavy, but there are heavier seat out there. The seat does not fit in shopping carts-so beware if you want a seat that can do that. Chiccos safety rating is outstanding and we have been very happy with this seat. We received another seat as a gift and our Chicco is so much better and much easier to use. The Chicco feels really tight when you install it and does not wiggle around in the car seat like some of the other seats. I really recommend this seat.
...

sls373 says "The Chicco KeyFit Travel System meets all my traveling needs!" about Chicco KeyFit

My husband and I received the Chicco KeyFit travel system at our baby shower in March of 2009. We love it! We have the orange and gray model. It is very comfortable and safe for our now 6 1/2 month old son, Aiden.

What I especially love about this carseat is that it pops right into the stroller. When my son is sleeping, I do not have to wake him up to put him in the stroller. I simply leave him in the car seat and place him right into the stroller! This feature is very convenient. I realized how convenient this was when I forgot the stroller one day and had to take him out of the car seat! Cranky babies and malls just don't mix!

We had the car seat installed by a police officer at a carseat safety workshop and the police officer said we had chosen a good model. It is very easy to install but I would still recommend going to a workshop. We did not have our car seat attached tightly enough to the seat and he said about 80% of the people he sees make the same mistake.

mariaallen2 says "The easist car seat ever made. Can do everything with one hand!" about Chicco KeyFit

Bought a car seat combo with stroller. Everything is done with one hand. Putting in the car seat is really easy. Once you hear 2 clicks, you know it is in. To remove, just lift up the red handle and the seat comes out effortlessly. Even has leveler's on each side of the base so you know that the seat is in evenly. The seatbelt click attachments that attach to the anchors in the backseat is really easy to do.

The stroller has better shocks than most cars! Again the stroller is assembled with one hand. Lift on a handle between the hand rail and it unfolds. Do the same to disemble. Once you hear a click, you know the stroller is locked and can be put away. Pretty lightweight as well.

Overall, HIGHLY recommend this combanation. The stroller will last under the child is at least 3 years of age and strollers are not cheap!
...

We love our car seat we got our daughter because it is rated one of the safest carseats out there. The cons with the seat are that it is so padded, our daughter gets VERY hot in it. There is also no slits in the bottom of the seat so you can't put it on the front of a shopping cart like you see a lot of people do. We have to put our daughter in the basket. Overall we love it because we know our daughter is safe in it!
...

This carseat is amazing! We recieved it along with the matching stroller as a gift from my mom. We have used this seat up until now and my daughter is almost 1 year old. The seat holds infants from 4-22lbs and is very easy to use. We really liked that the straps could be adjusted on the front of the seat easily. We have another carseat that we also used for her and you had to pull the straps in and out of the back every time that she was taken in and out of the seat. The carseat is very sturdy and durable. We felt like this seat was very safe and will be using it for our next child as well. It is a little bit pricey but is definetley worth the investment. One of the only things I found wrong with the seat was that she seemed to get sweaty in it, maybe because of the material. The only thing I would have done differently is buy an extra base for this seat so we wouldn't have had to take the whole thing in and out when we switched vehicles.
...
