As a first time parent and the product of a safety conscience family, I wanted something that was super safe for my son.  I narrowed our choices through online searches, and then we headed to a local specialty baby store to see the products in person.   At first, I was hesitant about his car seat because of the hefty price.  However, once I saw how easily it locks into its base and how easy it is to get out of the car, I was sold!  It is a super safe seat and great for small babies.  We planned on our son being a big baby, but when he arrived six weeks early at under 5 lbs, we felt truly blessed to already have the car seat that the NICU nurses recommended.  Since he was so small, he had to pass a car seat test before leaving the hospital...it was to make sure that he could medically handle sitting in the car seat for extended periods of time.  At 7 days old and less than five pounds, he sat in this car seat snugly and secure for over 90 minutes without being uncomfortable.  In fact, he slept through the entire test! 
We love that we didn't need to add anything to the car seat to accomodate his small size and that everything can be adjusted as he grows.  Additionally, we really like that we can remove and launder the seat cover. 
Everyone in our family easily learned how to work this car seat and loves how easily it goes into its base and how easy it is to remove.  It just snaps itself in when placed on top of the base in the proper position! 
We really like the sun shade, but wish it came out just a tad more.  We really like the adjustable handle. 

I don't have any complaints about this seat.  I have already recommended it to friends who are pregnant.  I hope that Chicco is still carrying this seat when we have our next child!
