When I was still pregnant, I did a lot of research on travel systems because I wanted an infant car seat and stroller in one that could be used for a few years without my daughter outgrowing the entire system. There were lots of systems that were recommended, but in my childbirth class, it was an overwhelming preference toward the Chicco Cortina. I followed their advice and got the Chicco and I am still happy with it today, with my daughter being almost 17 months old. I used the infant car seat for a little over a year until she reached the weight limit. I loved it because my daughter was slightly premature and was especially small. With its newborn insert, she fit snugly and safely despite her small size. As she grew, we removed the insert and it continued to work well until she reached the weight limit. It was easy to get her in and out of the infant car seat and the seat itself removed easily from the car and snapped into the stroller base, another convenience. Since she has outgrown the car seat, I've been using the stroller on its own now. It is great because it is easy to maneuver, collapses easily, and has a lot of features for both her and me, including food trays, drink holders, and lots of storage underneath. I would definitely recommend this for any new parent.
