Chicco Cortina Travel System Review

This is a good quality product.  We were having a hard time choosing a travel system and decided to go with this one because of positive reviews at other sites.  We have been using it for a month now and so far I'm fairly happy with it.  The car seat fabric is nice and neutral, and I like that it comes with a removable padded insert for newborns.  We were using a hand-me-down graco system at first and it didn't seem very cozy for my newborn and his head was slumping over a bit.  This one keeps him upright and he seems to very safe and secure in it.  The car seat base is easy to install and gives 3 different installation options.  The stroller is also easy to handle.  I've read reviews from moms that think its too heavy, but i think its fine and that only speaks to its durability. 

The only problems I have had so far is that the carrier doesn't have the groove in the bottom which allows it to sit in the top shelf of a shopping cart, and when you have the carrier in the stroller it has to be in down position so you don't really have as much room getting things in and out of the storage space on the bottom (if you have a bulky diaper bag).  Aside from those inconveniences, I love this system!
