One of my favorite places ever - to enjoy being outdoors; to people watch; to roller blade; to walk/run/jog.
The Lakefront Trail on Chicago's east side adjacent to Lake Michigan is great for cyclists, runners, rollerbladers, skateboarders, walkers, pet owners, and everyone in between. With amazing views and miles and miles of pathway, you can see much of what Chicago has to offer. Along the path are beaches, bike rental facilities, parks and fields, and places to sit down and relax. For people who love the outdoors, it is one of Chicago's greatest treasures.
It does tend to get crowded on the weekends and especially when the weather is nice, so you have to be patient. However, that just means it...
