I did not think I really needed a flat iron, but it is the way to do your hair these days. I LOVE this Chi. It heats up quickly, it is easy to use and my hair remains straight for the entire day. Your hair also stays silky smooth, which is sometimes difficult to manage with flat iron use. The size is good and is handled easily. There is no heat dial, so you have to be very careful about how long you use it on your hair and make sure you do not burn your hair as it does get extremely hot. Supposedly, the ceramic is supposed to keep that from happening, but I do not want to take the chance...
review »I was recently in the market for a new flat iron because my old one died after being used on an almost daily basis for four years. I didn't want to spend more than $150 for a new flat iron and asked around for recommendations. The most popular was Chi. I am a user of other Farouk Systems hair products and have always been a fan of theirs, so I decided to buy the Chi Turbo 1" flat iron and am glad that I did. First, the design is great. It has rounded edges, a long cord, and is light weight. Second, the flat iron allows for different styles. You can straighten, curl and flip your...
review »Being mixed race (black, mexican) I have curly hair. Not kinky but really curly. It has been impossible to straighten my hair and keep it that way. Growing up and going to salons was like torture because they would blow it out then use a flat iron. My hair was real long and I'd be there all day. Leave with straight hair and by the time I got home I'd be a puff head. I love my hair curly so relaxers were not an option so i just never went straight. About 3 years ago i went to a salon and got it straightened again. She used this chi flat iron (the red wide one) and boom i had straight hair...
review »The Chi Turbo Straigtener is amazing!! It works much better than others I have tried and takes less time. Not only that it is very durable. Although it is mine now it was previously my sisters and moms. My mom had used it before going on vacation and forgot to turn it off, only negative thing is that it doesn't automatically turn it off. It was on for 3 days before I discovered it while taking care of her pets while she was gone. Soon after my sister got a new one and passed this one on to me saying becuase it got left on that long she didn't know how much longer it would last. I have now had it...
review »I have had the Chi Turbo flat iron for about 6 or 7 years now. It is very durable. It has ceramic plates and heats up in less than a minute. It also has the red velvet on it for smoothing. I have the 1" and would reccommend it to any one, wether you hair is short or long. I have natural curly and very thick hair and this is the only flat iron that I have use and like. It does not pull your hair while straightening it. I am looking into getting another one. They are a little high in price, but I'd rather pay the higher amount for it to last me many years than to spend a little to have to replace...
