I have been using a Chi flat iron for nine years. I am a hairstylist and Chi iron was the first professional grade flat iron that was introduced to me. Before I purchased my Chi I have bought and used other competitor irons on the market. It was hardly a competition. Chi was far superior.
Chi iron fealt more solid quality, better heat distribution, never pulled hair, it slid smoothly. It heats up within a minute. Always reliable. I've had my iron for five years. It is used daily and sometimes all day.
I like the design. It is limitless. It allows you to create lot's of different looks. You can use it for flips or ringlets, and don't let your imagination stop you. You can wrap the hair around a pencil and flat iron hair like that and it will creat a really tight ringlet for extra detail touch on a speacial occassion do.
The reason why gave in three stars instead of four, I personally know couple of individuals that weren't as luckly with their CHI being reliable. In less than a year of use the cord to their iron started having a short, going on and off.
