Pros

Less damage to hair, Helps with those silly cowlicks, Your friends will be jealous, Heats up quick, Makes hair shiny and frizz free, Easy to use, Hair style lasts for days, Quick hairstyling, Versitle

Cons

Takes a while to cool down, Expensive...but great investment, no temperature setting, no automatic shut off

Chi Flat Iron —

Words can't describe what i would do if i had no chi iron. My hair isn't curly; it isn't even really wavy, but how the chi makes my hair shine and look ten times better after using it makes this one of those have-to-have items. I only really use it on the weekends when i have some big plans to go out dancing or something of the sort. Thus, one of the drawbacks: hair damages from heat. There are several products out there made by chi that may be used in conjunction with the iron to help protect from heat damage, so i recommend those also. Yes, it is a little expensive but i purchased mine from a bed bath and beyond store with a handy 20% off coupon that they run in their ads from time to time.
