I made several attempts at other, less expensive flat irons on the market thinking that no hair tool could possibly be worth this investment. Ultimately, I wasted a lot of money on bad products before buying the Chi Flat Iron. I wish I would have just made the investment in the first place. It is hands-down, the best flat iron available. I've had mine for several years and it still heats and works just like it did day one. I have the 1" model and had very long hair when I purchased it...I was amazed how it would glide through long hair without a single snag or pull. I now have short hair. This model works just as well on short hair as it does on long! Due to its ceramic plates and curved edges you can do so much more than just straighten your hair. You can create curls and flips as well as straightening, all with a super smooth glossy finish that holds up to the humidity of Houston! Don't waste your money on other products first, this will be your hair's best friend for years to come!
