Chi Ceramic Flat Iron Review Summary

The Chi Ceramic Flat Iron is loved by our reviewers for it's features, easy of use and ability to give them popular straight styles no matter how naturally curly their hair is or how humid it is outside. Pisces718 says, " It has 10 foot heavy duty electrical cord , 360 degree swivel cord to prevent tangling , on-off switch located on the inside to prevent accidental turn-off , lightweight design , and it fits in a standard curling iron station. The Chi is quick heating and saves energy." Although this flat iron straightener is on the high side for a styling tool at approximately $100.00 PearlofAfrica says, "I realized instantly that this flat iron would literally save me thousands of dollars over the next few years because, instead of going to the hair dresser, I could do my hair at home." Not sure if you are willing to spend that on a styling tool for your straight hair styles? Keep reading our flat iron reviewsto find the look that is right for you.

I love the Chi flat iron.  I started straightening my wavy hair about 4 years ago.  When I was still new at it, I thought, "Why would anybody pay over $100 for a flat iron when you can get one at Wal-Mart for $20??" So, needless to say, for about a year or so, I was using a cheap straightener.  It... read full review »

The chi iron is the greatest ever! I am a hairstylist and first discovered it at a hair show in Toronto the ABA, I bought it and love it.It is the only flat iron I will use now.My hair is very curly and this is the only iron that makes my hair 100% straight and free from frizz. You can also give your hair body and volume without the frizz. I don't wash my hair every day and the next day I can just get out of bed and brush my hair without and touchups. Other flat irons I have to run it through my hair the next day also. But with the Chi as gross as this may sound I can go withough washing my hair...

I bought this flat iron for my girlfriend because she hated the frizzies when it was humid out. She looks fantastic! I have never seen her hair more pretty than it is now. The cost totally was diminished by the fantastic results. She has even taught me how to use it on her hair so we can get the best results on the back of her hair. It is reccommended that one use a good silk oil or styling product to protect the hair when using.

She has gotten movie star results from using the Chi. It comes in a few colors according to season. We bought the pink with white polka dots. She loves it and I love...

Have thick hair

The Chi Original 1 inch is a classic for a reason.  I have very very thick and hard to tame hair.  I like my hair to look polished and straight but not damaged and fried.  This straightener does the job on my thick, wavy hair in a very short time. I have used a lot of other straighteners that were "bargain" models and they always left my hair very damaged and hardly straighted my hair at all.  Now, even my bangs, which get the most straightening so little to no damage from this straightener.  It takes me only a few minutes to get my hair under control.  I think every girl needs this product...

I got my first Chi flat iron about 3 years ago.  It was very expensive at the time but it was well worth it.   I have been straightening my hair for over 35 years and was amazed how it left my hair smooth and shiny.

I was a bit disappointed on how long it lasted and dont really understand the life of a flat Iron but I go through about 1 a year and then it eventually starts to loose its effectiveness and then all of a sudden it just dies.  But since my first purchase they are available in stores not just in beauty supply stores and salons.  The average price now is about $129.00 and can...

The pricetag is horrendous. Let's just get that out of the way right now. Whenever it comes to spending over $100 on a hair care tool, you really have to evaluate whether or not it's worth the price.

In this case, I'll say yes and no.

When CHI first came out, I was sketical, but a friend of mine let me try hers before commiting. And let me tell ya, it was perfect in every way imaginable. I realized instantly that this flat iron would literally save me thousands of dollars over the next few years because, instead of going to the hair dresser, I could do my hair at home-- and it would look...

The Chi ceramic flat iron is one of the best gifts I have ever received.  My husband purchased this styling tool for me over a year ago and I have used it everyday since without it wearing out.  I would not buy it for myself just because of the 100 dollar price tag but my husband was thoughtful enough to buy it for me as a christmas present.  Wow, I wish I purchased it years ago when I first heard of it instead of buying three or four less expensive brands only to find that they didn't give me the results that I was looking for.  Save yourself money and buy the nice Chi first.

In less than...

I absolutely love my Chi 1" Flat Iron.  I have had it for a few years now and it has always performed well.

The cord is very long so you can walk around while using the iron without fear of jerking yourself or your hair from a too-short cord.

The iron heats up VERY quickly which is great if you're in a hurry.

It has an on/off switch which you need because there is no automatic shut off.

The outside of the iron stays pretty cool which is important.   I've used other, titanium irons and their outer shells get far too hot to handle.  Not good if, again, you're in a hurry.

As far as performance...

The 1" Chi straightening iron is wonderful.  I've used the chi for at least 8 years now, and while my hair does get dry if I don't use some sort of "heat tamer" or biosilk before using the flat iron, it still looks SO much better after than before.  I don't know what I'd do without my chi.  I almost always buy a backup just incase something happens to it, but at the moment, I don't have a backup....

I like to flat iron half of my hair and compare it to the other half and the results are amazing.  Even after using this flat iron for years and years, the difference in how flat ironed hair and...

I love this iron. Honestly, it is the greatest flat iron ever. My hair is really thick, curly, and frizzy. Every hair dresser I've ever gone to has told me that I have the thickest hair they've ever felt. So you can probably imagine how puffy my hair is.

The chi makes my hair look amazing. It looks so much thinner, smooth, and in control. Basically the opposite of everything my hair actually is. It even makes my hair feel really smooth, without putting any sort of product in it.

The iron itself is small, so if you have a lot of hair like me, you'll need to be patient. Although it's small size really...

Before I got hooked on the Chi flat iron, I tried everything from the trusted name Revlone to the conair products. I hated them all  because none of them gave me the results that I was looking for. I have naturally curly hair and wanted to have hair that looked like the girls on TV. Well in high school I was on the drill team and one girl had the Chi. I used to once and fell in love with it. From that day on I asked to borrow it after practice every morning. Some days she did some days she didnt. I saved for weeks to make my 100 dollar goal and let me tell you it was the best invest ment ever....

I have tried a minimum of 30 flat irons in the past 5 years and have spent hundreds of dollars trying to discover the one that fits me best.  I have very long thick hair and usually stick to name brands that I trust.  The CHI flat iron, is the only one that has worked for me.  I purchased this prduct at a salon for $129.99, which is much more than I have spent on flat irons in the past.  It is definately worth the money.  I use a flatening spray to control my frizz, and my hair is straight the entire day, no matter what the weather is like (even in the most humid of days!)  The only warning...

In this fast-paced world of failing finances and chaotic schedules, who has time to fix their hair?  I have much fewer bad hair days since I splurged and bought myself a Chi Ceramic Flat Iron.  I know they are much more expensive, but they are worth the extra expense.  Other flat irons will straighten your hair, but only a Chi will give it that shiny, frizz-free look.  I have tried other (cheaper) flat irons and no other can even compete with my Chi flat iron.  My Chi heats up quickly to just the right temperature - very hot!  I only have to go over each section of hair one time with a Chi. ...
