Most HelpfulI first learned what an Ultra Chi was from my boyfriend's 16-year old daughter. I thought that hair a straightener was a hair straightener. I rarely even tried to straighten my wavy hair because it always took way too long. I'm like most of you....busy, busy, busy.
The Ultra Chiis a quality...

Most HelpfulEVERYONE has a Chi hair straightener, or at least wants one. Because of this, I wanted one too. I've been straightening my hair for a few years now and the straighteners in the store are HORRIBLE and don't work. So.....I paid over $100.00 to buy myself a Chi online because I thought since everyone...
review »I have probably the thickest hair anyone could possibly imagine. My whole life I have gone from straightener to straightener never being full satisfied about the results that I got from using them. My hair is very thick, very "poofy" and very hard to get straight and smooth. After using the Chi straightener, I will never go back to any other hair straightener in my life. It heats up fast, which is convenient for my busy schedule. It cuts back the time it takes to straighten my hair to about 15 minutes compared to what I was used to which was about an hour to two hours.
The price might be...
review »I have had my chi 1" hair straightener for two years and it works just as wonderfully as the day I bought it! My mother is a hair stylist so I have always had to best when it comes to my hair. When I started taking care of my hair and wanting a more sleek look, my mother bought me a hair straightener but she didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for a straightener for a 15 year old. I tried my best to make that straightener work but it just flattened the frizz, but didn't make it soft. It wasn't even a year before I was begging my mom for a new straightener. She talk to a few other beauticians...
review »The search for the perfect straightner is never easy. There are alot of things to consider. The cost, the quality, the durability, and the damage they do to your hair.
Last Christmas I bought myself a Chi 1" flat iron at a salon, it was on sale for $119.00. I thought that was alot of money. The flat iron is something that you use everyday. It is worth the investment. The Chi works wonders on the frizziest hair.
The Original Chi 1" Flat Iron is the best flat iron I have ever used. It makes my hair so silky and smooth and the results last all day. I personally have straight hair already but my little sister, who has curly hair, uses it also and the results are the same regardless of hair type. On humid days when hair seems to get more frizzy, it will smooth the fly-aways. Plus it's fool proof when it comes to using it.
I've had this iron for about 3 years now. My hair is on the thicker side, in healthy condition, and long. My hair is wavy, and can hold a curl or be straightened without much coaxing, so I'm lucky in that respect. I have to say I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews this product is getting. I think it's amazing and I fell in love when I first got it, for about twice as much from a retail store! I think part of the problem might be lack of product/over-styling that might be contributing to damage. My hairstylist recommended Chi to me.
I don't straighten my hair every day; I would say I use...
The bright red exterior of your favorite CHI flat iron makes this limited-edition CHI 1" ceramic hairstyling iron a must-have! This flat iron delivers gorgeous, silky hair like only CHI can!
I used to buy flat irons from pharmacy stores and tried many cheap ones and ended up returning them to stores that would allow you to buy, try and then return if you didn't like it. The girls at my old job recommended this one and I will never go back. Yes, it is expensive, but well worth the money if a product really works. This product does. This leaves my hair silky smooth and straight. It gets real...
review »My daughter has extremely curly hair but likes to wear it straight. We tried all the low and mid priced flat irons on the market. None of the flat irons we tried even closely compared to the Chi ceramic flat iron. It heats up very fast. It stays very hot so that styling and straightening is extremely quick and easy. Other good qualities about this flat iron is that the cord is made so that it doesn't tangle or crimp. The only downfalls of the chi ceramic flat iron is that the one we have doesn't have an automatic shut off switch so if my daughter forgets to turn it off in the morning, its...
review »I currently have 2 CHI 1" Flat Irons. I carry one for travel and another I keep in my bathroom cabinet for everyday use. These products are long lasting (I have had one for more than 7 years) and do an excellent job with straightening and smoothing hair. My hair is naturally curly and gets frizzy in humid weather. The CHI not only straightens my hair but keeps it shiny and straight in the Texas humidity.
In addition, if your product breaks or the ceramics become loose, you can send the product in to be repaired for a small all-inclusive fee. (I believe around $35.00). Your CHI will be fixed and...
review »The chi ceramic 1 inch hairstyling iron is only so so at best. In order to get the best results, you still have to blow dry your hair straight first completely (using a special kind of padded brush,) which is very time consuming if you have long hair like me. Because the chi cannot be used on freshly washed and wet hair, the blow-drying is mandatory. Then, when you do use the iron on your dry hair, it does not get all the hair completely straight-- the wavier certain sections of your hair are, the less likely the iron can get those parts totally straight. On my hair, for example, one side is naturally...
review »Let me just start off by saying that no one should waste money on a cheap drug store flat iron! They just do not get hot enough to do what they are meant to do - - straighten hair properly without frying it. I love my Chi flat iron so much that I have switched all hair products and now use the entire line of Chi products. I use the flat iron spray so as not to damage my hair and I also purchased a Chi blow dryer to use as a companion piece. I have thick, course hair and the Chi flat iron has worked very well for both smoothing and straightening. The Chi flat iron heats up very quickly...
review »The flat iron lives up to its name because it does just that. I have gone through many cheap straighteners before finally putting out the money for a Chi. Luckily, Harmon's had a special for the 1 inch, special edition. The straightener was accompanied by other Chi products such as the smoothing serum and heat protector. Paired with the straightener, my hair has never been healthier or smoother after straightening. For once, I feel like I'm damaging it with all the products and styles that I fight so hard to achieve. There are some straighteners, or flat irons, that literally just flatten...
review »The Chi 1" Ceramic flat iron is the best flat iron I have ever used. This flat iron reaches high temps very quickly, has ceramic plates, and is very easy to handle. I love how easy the Chi is to use. It glides through my hair with ease and straightens my hair so great. I personally have naturally curly hair and being able to change my hair any time I want, and quickly, is a dream come true by the Chi flatiron.
I can remember the first time I use my Chi flatiron to straiten my hair. I was getting ready for a night out with the girls. I absolutely loved the results, my hair was smooth, soft, and...
review »I have had my Chi for about six months and I love it!!! The chi is very easy to use but you do have to be careful not to fry your hair! It does take a little practice at first so you do not leave lines in your hair. I would recommend this product for someone that has experience using straighting irons or curling irons. If this is your first straighting iron I would probably start with a less powerful product. It is very easy to damage your hair with such a powerful styling tool! It would also be a good idea to use some sort of product on your hair to protect it from the heat. The chi has a lifetime...
