Chi 1" True Ceramic Hair Straightener —

EVERYONE has a Chi hair straightener, or at least wants one.  Because of this, I wanted one too.  I've been straightening my hair for a few years now and the straighteners in the store are HORRIBLE and don't work.  So.....I paid over $100.00 to buy myself a Chi online because I thought since everyone wanted it, it must be good.

Well, in my opinion, it didn't work any better than any of the others straighteners I tried.  It did have an easy to use handle, and it did get hot, but what happened to mine was that the ceramic plates scratched horribly.  In a matter of about a month, the plates looked burnt.  I went out and bought special cleaner made for straighteners, and that didn't do anything.  I tried gently cleaning the plates with a soft cloth, and that didn't work either.  In less than two months, I was literally throwing my $ 100.00 in the trash can.

The next straightener I bought was one from  Sally's and it only cost me $ 75.00.  IT WORKS GREAT and I've had it for over six months now.  So the lesson I learned was, just because it costs more doesn't mean it's better.

That's me too, I just started straightening, and my hairdresser said, don't spend the money so I didn't. I got a "GOOD" ceramic no name one and it works wonderfully but only a portion of the price!
