I tried this because I had a coupon for any of the Chex Mix Chocolate varieties, and I very much liked the idea of chocolate with my snack mix. (What girl doesn't?) With the general good reputation Chex has, and the fact that it can include chocolate in this mix while still being able to boast "50% less fat than regular potato chips" on the bag, it's a guilt-free snack that leaves me feeling okay with myself. The mix includes caramel-coated popcorn, caramel-coated and chocolate-powder-sprinkled Chex squares, small M&M-like chocolate candies, honey-roasted peanuts, and chocolate-powder-sprinkled pretzels (sans salt). I have one very strong recommendation that I believe would make this snack ideal. If they had just dipped the pretzels in chocolate (instead of dusting them with powder), it would all be perfect--though probably a little higher calorie. I'd even settle for a bit of salt on the pretzels and keep the chocolate powder. The problem is that the pretzels are bland and a disappointment compared to the rest of the mix; they just need a little something extra. Everything else about this snack is delicious and wonderful, and I'll keep eating it... just without the pretzels!
