Chevrolet Equinox - 2008 Review Summary

The 2008 Chevrolet Equinox is big, bold and beautiful if you can call a SUV “beautiful”! Owners love the spacious interior, the power, and numerous features the ’08 Chevrolet Equinox offers. And did I mention that the Chevrolet Equinox comes in a Sports Edition? Basically, the Equinox is a perfect vehicle for a family with children. A few negatives reported on the Chevrolet Equinox 2008 are seats are low, and blind spots were reported by one reviewer. Want to compare the Equinox to some other SUV’s?

During a trip to Dayton, Ohio I "lucked" into a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox SUV as my rental car for the week.  I had originally scheduled an economy car, but the rental car company only had two door economies and do not like them used with car seats. Since it was only a matter of dollars more (with my Entertainment...

I rented this vehicle while ours was in the shop getting repaired.  I'm glad I did, because I had considered it for purchase.  The driver's seat sits very low.  Also, there are blind spots very badly in the area between the front and back seats.  I'd recommend renting one before buying.

I have had a 2005 Chevy Equinox and still do.  I turned in a lease JEEP Liberty (horrible) and saw the new model ofr 2008 the Equinox Sport. Alot of horsepower, great handling, this model year has all wheel disc bakes which gives better stopping power.   Both cars are unbelievable in the rain.  You feel as if you are stuck to the ground the way it handles in down pours.  This model is a bit pricey for an Equinox but has alot of standard features.  And OnStar is fantastic.  They monitor the diagnostics of the car, can download directions to your radio, even if you make a wrong turn it knows. ... read full review »

2007 Equinox LT, 17" wheels, 2 wd. OK in the snow, amenities are nice. Big tires, satellite radio is nice, pretty comfortable, but could use a little more lumbar support. Only thing I really don't like in this car is that I have the beige interior and it really shows up any kind of dirt. Extremely hard to keep clean.
