My husband and I purchased the 2005 Chevrolet Equinox as a Christmas gift for myself in Dec. 2004, just after he returned from a year in Iraq. We still have the vehicle to this day and I am still satisfied with the quality of the vehicle. As a military family we move like a pack of wolves all over the country and endure some of the most extreme conditions of mother nature. This suv has not let me down a bit whether we've had to endure 5 feet of snow or flooding rains. We have traveled back and forth from Ft. Drum, NY to our home state of Alabama on several occasions, Ft. Benning to Alabama, Summerville, SC to Alabama and she has not gave me any problems. Considering that I have 2 children, one being a baby at one point, we had alot of extra things to pack for our long trips so this vehicle is also very spacious. The only thing that I have had to replace is the battery one time but that is a given on any vehicle. And the gas mileage is not the best now that the economy is in a crisis and with all the traveling that we have to do but I do plan to keep her for as long as she'll go. I love my Chevrolet Equinox.
