Chevrolet Cobalt - 2007 Review Summary

The 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt has garnished some mixed reviews from our reviewers. While some report that the ’07 Chevrolet Cobalt delivers a smooth and comforting ride, another says that the Cobalt is not very comfortable and provides a “bumpy” ride. Other complaints on the Chevrolet Cobalt 2007 include cup holders that are not secure, transmission is slow to shift gears, no middle console and only decent gasoline mileage out of this small car. Maybe you should consider a step up to the 2007 Chevrolet Malibu?

I am the proud owner of a "new" car.  It's a 2007 candy apple red Chevy Cobalt LS and rides like a feather dancing in the wind.  I have had it for a week and am getting used to some of the new features and still missing some of the features that my 2001 Chevy Cavalier LS had.  In 2006 or 2007 the... review »

How many times can I use the word "sucks" in a sentence before it becomes redundant? The only good points about this vehicle are (1) the digital display reading shows the oil percentage remaining, gas remaining, mileage, and temperature (which reads "ice possible" when the temp hits below 38 degrees);...

I have been a Chevy owner all of my life I have owned 5 in my 30 + years of driving.  I really tryed to not buy Chevy this time, but I went the American Way once again and 4 months later am still happy with my decision and wow on the gas mileage, but I do have a straight shift.   It is economical to drive, sporty looking without the sporty price and has been fun to drive.

I bought this in July instead of an Ion.  I can't yet afford the sports car I want, so this is to raise my credit while I save up enough to get the car I really want.  Mind you, I drove a V8 Camaro for 6.5 years.  The Cobalt is cute and not slow, but certainly nowhere near fast either.  The gas mileage is at least decent.  The oil life is almost twice as long as my friend's 2007 Civic.  If a car going twice as fast as you is about to smash into you, you probably won't have the power necessary to get the heck out of the way, and you had better hope you left you airbag on!  Yeah, that's right... review »

Recently bought a Chevy Cobalt 2007 with power everything.  It was affordable and had very few miles.  Recently took it on a 1200 mile road trip to visit family.  Not the most comfortable vehicle for me. I am 5' 10"  ended up with sore shoulders because the tilt doesnt come down far enough.  The factory installed stereo /CD players volume doesnt go high enough for me, With the windows down and the freeway noise it was hard to hear even with it cranked all the way.  Fuel wise I was up to 35 Mpgs but I used the cruise all the way. Had a really hard time getting our full sized cooler out of... review »

This car is small and easy to drive. It has alot of great features. The only problem is the allignment gets messed up every year, and the tires the dealership has on there is crap and you will have to replace them all within a year. When you drive it, it rides really bumpy. You will always think your tire is going flat when its not. It is great on gas.

I rented the Chevy Cobolt at Avis for travel from Rohnert Park, CA to Las Vegas, NV to save some gas instead of using my gas guzziling van. It was only me, my wife, six yr old daughter & Shih Tzu traveling for our wedding anniversary.

I had alot of bump steer everytime I hit some dip or bump in the road, so it was annoying keeping it straight. Going up the mountains it was struggling doing 55 - 60 mph. Tranny didn't want to down shift get some torque going up. I was watching the coolant temp. guage jump from 187 to 230 deg. F or higher. Didn't save as much gas as I thought I would. Only 29 MPG...

I have owned 3 Cobalts (I upgraded from an LS to and LT and my husaband owned the SuperCharged model) and I have never had any problems. They are comfortable, quiet, great on long trips and they are cute! I get compliments all the time from people, a lot of them ask how I could afford a car that is fully automatic with remote start (they don't know that I paid under $16,000 brand new!). I have never seen a car that is this low in price with so many standard feautures. My hasband and I have taken 4-6 long trips (over 1,000 miles) in our Cobalts and they get up to 34MPG and are so comfortable. I...

I love my 2007 Chevy Cobalt. We needed a new car and I refused to look at anything that di not get at least 30 mpg. I was torn between the Cobalt and the Ford Focus. The local Chevy dealer offered my great (0%) financing and I have been VERY happy with my Cobalt. It's small enough to be economical, priced right yet comfortable. I'm happy I opted for the Chevy!

Don't take it the wrong way, I'm saying it like a joke because now we have nothing else but laugh about our ignorance that time. The car is precious and very comfortable for our child, but the ******* deal came out like if we're paying mortgage for 2 houses (good credit is really important)...

I love this car. It gets great gas mileage, can get up to 30 mph in city driving. Most of the time I see around 27mph. That's awesome, for stop and go traffic. There is lots of room in the car and in the trunk. It has style, but is also economy friendly!

Terrible vehicle.  I will never by a Chey again.  I bought my Cobalt brand new.  I have had it for 2 years and 2 months.  It has been in the shop 17 times.

The chevy cobalt gets good gas mileage.  Thats about it.  If your looking for luxury you will need to look elsewhere.  I haven't had any problems in the year and a half i've had the car except the shifter button will occasionally stick making it impossible to remove the key.  I've become an expert in removing the plastic panels surounding the center console in order to repair the shifter.  Other than that it is a good dependable car inexpensive, and good gas mileage.  Up to 37 mpg on the hiway, and about 26-29 in the city.
