Checker's Quick Change - Lyndhurst, NJ Review

Checker's Quick Change is an auto-repair shop as well as a 'Quick-Change' Oil place. They use only Valvoline Oils.

Checker's is owned and operated by Frank Vitale, who has been in the auto-repair business for over 25 years. He is a rare-breed, in that he is an HONEST Auto-Mechanic! lol Which is why he has such a large and loyal following of satisfied customers!

No appt. is needed for most repairs and oil changes are just a 'drop-on-in' service. There may be a wait, depending on how many are before you for oil changes or if all the lifts are filled. But Frankie and/or his crew of other knowledgeable mechanics, will see to it that you are taken care of asap! While waiting, there is an inside sitting area in the office and there is always a fresh pot of complimentary coffee...and usually some baked treats or gifts of cookies for all, from his loyal and appreciative customers!

It is a great atmosphere and a friendly one as well. Frankie likes to chit-chat with his customers, even if he only has time for a quick 'Hello, how are you?"

There are 3 bays available, all with lifts, and plans are in the works for an expansion of a new office/sitting area and 2 new bays, for a total of 5!

Most parts Frankie uses are quality NAPA auto parts.

Some of the many services offered at Checker's, besides oil changes are: brakes-disk and drum, rotors, tire repair and replacement, shocks, full tune-ups, electrical work, a/c and heater repair, batteries, front-end work, belt replacements, simple car care, such as new bulbs and fuses, etc. If needed, Frankie also has a full list of highly respected recommendations, for work not available at his place, ie: transmissions, body work-even towing services and inspection services, and will even see to it that your car gets to the other places and back.
