Hospital stay in Dominican!

Every traveler's biggest fear came true for us... A ruptured spinal disk 5 days into our vacation in Dominican Republic. My husband had this happen while staying at the Excellence. After an ambulance trip and a 3 day stay in the Punta Cana hospital, we were able to communicate, thanks to our Cheap Caribbean manager on the island. Many, many thanks to Elso Rijo! He brought his darling little girl with him and stayed 3 hours at the hospital to help me with my hubbys release ( papers, communication, medication, taxi service, pharmacy, etc!) He was on his way to the countryside to visit his mother and he patiently stayed to help me!!! Kudos to Cheap Caribbean!!! Very impressed with their service! All week long @ the resort, the cheap caribbean was so helpful (Alex) and asked about Larry every day! Very impressed! Will definitely use them again as our travel agent. Super easy with all of the documents, etc.

I wish I had never ever ventured away from AOL Travel....but I guess thats what I get for trying to save a buck. I booked a trip for myself and a girlfriend for a birthday gift for her...well its all downhill from there. Having had positive experiences in both Cancun and Jamaica at Adults only resorts, I figured to expect about the same when we picked Temptations in Cabo. We were trying to avoid children in the pool...and so many of the resorts were offering free kids stay and free kids club that they scared me away. Temptations showed 4 stars, said 24 hour food and beverage and looked like a nice quaint place to spend 5 days sunning, drinking, and maybe meeting people.

Planning a trip to Puerto Rico with Cheapcaribbean.com was easy!

I went on a cruise earlier this year that left out of San Juan Puerto Rico. I really liked the half day that  spent there and decided that I wanted to back. I started searching for a budget trip to San Juan. I foun the cheapcaribbean.com website and started studying the options. I was drawn in by the promises of very cheap trips - my trip was quoted at $299 and up for 4 nights including airfare. However, after studying the prices, I found that the price was only good from Miami. If you are flying from elsewhere, it is quite a bit more. My traveling companion lives near Ft Lauderdale, so we checked from there and it was about $20 more, but from Nashville it was at least $200 more. Since ...

worst customer service I've ever experienced

DO NOT, I repeat, do not spend your hard-earned vacation dollars with this company.  After a 4-day vacation to Jamaica, we were told that our flight home was cancelled.  We called customer service at Cheap Caribbean for help to rebook.  They told us we could rebook on the next available flight 4 DAYS LATER!!!  or pay full fare to use a different airline home.  Oh, and by the way, they would not cover the cost of our hotel to stay the additional 4 days.  We explained that we had left our daughter with relatives who were not able to care for her an additional 4 days, and that we needed to get back in a more timely manner.  They told us we "had no options" oth...

Cheapcaribbean puts your vacation in jeopardy

Do not use Cheapcaribbean. Either book directly with vendors or use a travel agent. This company will not (and will repeatedly remind you of this) assist you in any way with flight issues or hotel issues. It puts you at a disadvantage as the airline or hotel with only deal with the "booking agent" so even simple issues that any hotel or ariline would generally address (without charge) cannot be taken care of by you. Cheapcaribbean WILL offer to address and issue but will charge you significant fees to do this. I also suspect that venodors and airlines are fully aware of this and you are at risk for unsavory flight changes, hotel rooms etc... because they know they will never hear from a Cheapcaribbean client-it would be too $$$$ and aggravating to try to get it done. Not Worth It!!!!

Secrets Resort and CC Never Again!

My husband and I are not strangers to travel. We went for our honeymoon and was hoping for a pleasant, maybe even romantic time. Got off the plane and our names weren't on the manifest for bus service to hotel. Cheap Caribbean was unreachable when we got to Mexico! Taxi from airport to hotel (11 miles) is $75 and $55 for shuttle, (NO JOKE!) and the drivers get REALLY offended if you question the price, so be sure your name is on the pre-paid bus list, even if CC said it was. I was very uncomfortable leaving the airport with the Mexican taxi/shuttle service knowing our name and hotel with how irate they got when we asked if "75" was dollars or pesos for the cab ride. Very poor customer service!!

Both my daughter and I were trying to book vacations together. I hit the button and filled in my info and of course when she did the flights were no longer available so I called customer service. After 45 mins on the phone, we changed the dates so we could all go together. I was told to go on line and book hers while they changed mine. Great, NOT. The dates and flight numbers they gave me were no longer available and yes this is all why I am on the phone with them. So, in the end, I am charged $100 to cancel within 4 mins of making the reservation. And if that isn't bad enough, not only do I lose $100, but I am stuck with a credit of 1800 dollars to a company I will no longer give business.

Don't be fooled by worthless promo codes you can't use!

I have booked a few times through Cheapcaribbean.com. They're just as shady as all the rest with their "deals". The "sunshine guarantee" rain coupon is worthless. So is your $50 voucher for life. You see they can ONLY be used when you don't enter any other promo codes to book your vacation. EVERY vacation they sell comes with a promo code offer so you must pick one or the other. One promo code ONLY. So your $50 voucher and $100 rain guarantee can't be added to an already promo added vacation. It's sad that in this age of modern intelligence that these salesmen still think we're stupid. Just took me a little reading and a couple calls to their staff to figure out their game. Now I book better deals on my own.

Not good service from the first issue....

We booked a trip with cheap carribean to Costa Rica. We will never do that again. From the first issue which was our flights we coudl not commuicate with them. I would call the agent and she NEVER answered her phone. Told her what times I would be avaiable and then she still wouldn't call. Got a e-mail response for 1 out of every three e-mails sent. When we could reach someone they couldn't help us. Then we arrive late and the transfer company who we booked through them LEFT early after we called and told them our airplane was going to be late. We had to spend $45 of our own money which the will not refund to contact Cheap Carribean to make sure we even had a ride to the airport to ...

My wife and I booked a trip to Mexico with Cheap Caribbean, and I am so glad we did.  After searching other sites and trying to speak to a knowledgeable person, a friend recommended Cheap Caribbean.  Their agents were so friendly and helpful, making the entire process so easy. Plus, their people go on trips to the resorts, so they know what they were talking about.  The agent we bought with had just returned from Cancun and gave us first-hand information about where to go and stay.  Just before we left, my wife called the service department to ask some questions.  The woman she spoke with spent considerable time going over our trip to make sure it was all correct and...

I have to say that I am surprised to see negative comments about this company. Ive been travelling with them since their early days when they just sold weeks in St Maarten. Their prices have always been the best and their service reps, very pleasant and polite. If you do your own research on the hotel and still pick a crappy place - dont blame CheapCaribbean. Ive travelled with them close to 12 times over 6 years and Ive not one bad thing to say. One time I had an issue with no transfer pick up and it was handled very professionally. Im very pleased with their prices, service and find the website easy to navigate. They even price match now, so Im always guaranteed the best price. I love CheapCaribbean and wont book elsewhere when I travel to the Caribbean!

I expected to get a great deal on a vacation to an 5-star resort with CheapCaribbean.com because c'mon, it's in the name. What I didn't expect is their customer service to be so responsive when we had an issue during the booking process. I called the customer service number, and was routed to a girl names Alyssa. I explained that I had overlooked an error in the booking and only noticed on the confirmation. She explained that typically these type issues can be difficult to resolve after the fact without incurring charges, because airlines and resorts all charge change fees. Terrible Terms, watch the fine print!

I booked a vacation and tried to change it within 24 hours. They tried to charge me $500 in fees and give me the rest back in credit to the website. Seriously less than 24 hrs from when the reservation letter was made?

Dont book with them! If you cancel they use Assist card and you will never receive a refund regardless of the reason, when you canceled or whether you purchased "cancel for any reason" (JOKE). They have lost a customer for life. They never respond to emails or phone calls. Overall, the worst customer service I have ever received. It is basically one big scam and if you buy from this company and you travel plans fall through (as they do sometimes) you basically have more chance of winning a lottery jackpot than getting any refund.
