Chase - Credit Card Review

Chase Rewards MasterCards are the best.  They offer a certain percentage back to the consumer depending on what you are purchasing.  I received (2) $25 gift cards for Gap in the past few months for purchases I have made.  I have also received $50 cash checks in the past.  A great card even when you don't like to carry a balance.  Charge it; pay it off; and reap the cashback benefit.  We are on a strict budget so every little bit can help especially when Christmas time rolls around!

The only bad issue I have had with them is the purchasing of the protector policy.  In other words...my husband was off on disability last year which should have been covered under this policy but because we did not notify them 30 days prior to him being off (ok, how do you do that.  Like you plan for a disability to happen) we could not get the policy enforce.  Therefore, we paid monthly amounts for this covereage buy could not use it.  I have since cancelled it.  If it is not going to help us, then why carry it.

Their basic customer service is good.  The first year was 0% interest but after that they increased it to 19.9%.  I called them and gave them some input such as threatening to switch to another company and they lowered it to 4%.  Why should a consumer have to do that?  I was just thankful they were willing to do it.  But again, we should all be getting the good interest rate if they are willing to do it after you complain.

Overall, a great credit card.  The rewards are worth the little bit of hassle.
