Chase - Visa Cash Plus Rewards —
I have been a Chase credit card holder for over 6 years and have almost always paid my bill on time, you know once in a while it might arrive a day or two late but that happens to all of us occassionally. What I found out too late is with this company is that if you pay 30 days late on another company, which is not related to them in any way, they have the RIGHT to increase your interest rate. My rate went from 9.9 to 19.9 because of a misunderstanding with another company that did get straightened out eventually but Chase saw the credit report that I paid the other company 30 days late and raised my rate. Nothing you say to them will lower it until they decide they want to. I was told that maybe after 6 to12 months they will lower it in increments but no guarantee was given. I look every month but so far, nothing. My advice is always, always read fine print, go to credit card websites for changes in terms, and if they mail you anything read it.
