Most HelpfulChase Visa Card
This credit card has been good for me for many years. The rate is fairly low at around twelve percent and has not fluctuated over the 5 years I have had the card. My rate has in fact gone down once after I called and requested a lower rate, and the company was more than willing to...

How do I go about reviewing a credit card? You can either complain about it or you can admit you have one. Any card worth shouting about would have a ridiculously low interest rate, would call if they thought a payment was late, and... I don't know, I can't really think of anything else I would expect...

review »We got our Chase rewards card about a year and a half ago. We finally got ourselves debt-free and decided to simplify our record keeping by charging everything to a single source and paying it off at the end of the month- and earning cash for our purchases to boot with their rewards program. And for awhile all was well.
We've never been late with a payment, we have never come near to approaching our credit limit and we have never carried a balance. Our reward: they started declining random charges last week.
The three customer service people I have had to deal with in the last week all sing...
review »Well, My chase cards I don't like because they raise your interest rates and than when you ask them to work with you in lowering the rates they will not work with you at all I really think Chase is one of the worst credit card companys to deal with I just paid two Chase cards off called for a payoff total and was told what it was the next day I paid my balances in full on two cards almost 4000.00 and said to myself I'm going to save some money paying these 2 credit cards off so . So my experience is I paid these cards of figuring I was done with them well to my surprise I recieved 2 more bills...
review »I have to admit, I wasn't happy when Chase tookover Washington Mutual as it meant that Chase owned 6 of my 9 credit cards and I haven't always had the best service with them. The same has been true with this experience. Chase tookover the My Points credit card that was owned by Washington Mutual before they went belly up. Since receiving the new Chase "Flex Rewards" card my interest rate went from 12.9% to 27.9%. When I called and asked them to lower it they said they couldn't because I don't have a history with them. (Remember, they own 6 of my 9 credit cards so I'm not sure how they could...
review »I am reviewing the high interest rate charged by the Visa card from Chase Bank against people with fixed income. I was a Washington Mutual customer for many years. I bought items and got credit from the My Points program. I paid my bills on time and always paid more than the payment due. I even added my Capitol One balance to Washington Trust to eliminate Capitol One Visa as one of my credit cards. We had a mutual respectful relationship, Washington Mutual and I.
But the problems began when Chase Bank bought out Washington Mutual. My interest rate went from 16.75% to 27.99%. ...
review »I signed up for my Chase Visa card because of the attrative interest rate.. However the smoke and mirror effect quickly wore off. The interest rate was 9% and being it was my first credit card i figured it was a pretty good rate. It was a fixed APR. Myself like so many others have hit a slump in income recently. I have always maintained a balance on the card over a 2 year period and always payed more than the min payment, never late, never missed. But I goofed one month and was a little shorter on cash than I anticipated and my paycheck didnt clear in time for my payment to go through. The check...
review »I had a wamu card which was great. Loved having wamu. When chase took over things went downhill. My apr went from 9 precent to 24 percent. That was a major increase. I only used the card for the things myself and my kids needed. i had charged a little over half of the limit. I was making regular payments over the minimum payments that were required. Then the other day i checked my mail and there was a letter from chase. They cancelled my card without any notice. they canceled because I used over half my limit. I couldn't believe it why get a card if you cant use it when you need to. They also...

review »I have been motivated to write a review about Chase as a credit card company, because of all the credit cards I have (from Capital One, Household Bank, Chase, Discover, and HSBC) they have provided the WORST customer treatment since the credit crunch of 2009.
I have never had a late payment, gone over my credit limit, or had any kind of issues with these credit cards. These cards were originally issued by Providian, taken over by Washington Mutual, and then gobbled up by Chase. Immediately after Chase took control, they increased my APR from 14% to 28%. When I called, they said 28% was the lowest...
review »My checkbook was stolen in a home burglary while I was out of state, and I contacted Chase to let them know my checking account was closed due to the theft, and that because I was currently in a different state, I would not have immediate access to my new checking information to make the next payment on the due date. I was told that there was no way to prevent a late fee, but that I could call back after I made a payment to have the fee reversed. A few weeks later, I did as instructed, but now was told that the fee could not be reversed. I offered to supply a copy of the police report which lists...

review »My card initially was a WAMU credit card, which had a great APR, and credit report tracking on the 3 bureaus, and I was alerted each month when there was a change in my reporting. When everything hit the fan, my card switched over to Chase, and the previous features that were affilated with WAMU were not carried over. But with Chase I still am able to retain credit and fraud reporting and protection. Viewing my transaction histroy is a lot easier as well as the ability in getting online statements (which WAMU did not offer, we're trying to save trees here!), and Chase's customer service department...
review »As a person of integrity when i recieved this card it was understood what my rate would be. Now that Chase and other institutions have been found out there answer is to smack it on the hands of those of us who pay on time. I have never been late on a bill and there ridicoulous practice of saying i was once because of presidents day is atrocious. so Chase I wont accept new terms nor will I ever use your bank for anything if it can be avoided at all costs. You took my bailout money. So now you want more to cover not my loss but the losses that your industry created.
