Chase - Visa —

I signed up for my Chase Visa card because of the attrative interest rate.. However the smoke and mirror effect quickly wore off. The interest rate was 9% and being it was my first credit card i figured it was a pretty good rate. It was a fixed APR.  Myself like so many others have hit a slump in income recently. I have always maintained a balance on the card over a 2 year period and always payed more than the min payment, never late, never missed. But I goofed one month and was a little shorter on cash than I anticipated and my paycheck didnt clear in time for my payment to go through. The check bounced. Chase nver notified me by mail, e-mail, phone, smoke signals or homing pigions. , you get the point. ....untill the next month, when after being a great customer up to this little error , my interest shot up to 17%!!!  I was livid and explained to chase I was profounldly sorry and admitted my mistake. They WOULD NOT budge or work with me AT ALL. Now im stuck with a high rate credit card that im stuggling to pay each month. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL.  Go with another company.  any company. I am human. I make mistakes. There is no reason to punish me so severly and push me to defaulting on my card. Shame on you Chase.

Chase, Bank of America and Citigroup are by far the worst banks in the world. HSBC is one of the best banks to bank with. They never took any government money and they don't nickle and dime you on checking accounts such as atm fees and non hsbc atm fees, monthly fees and they are sympathetic if you make a mistake on a credit card and pay it a few days late. HSBC is one of the best banks I've done business with. They don't have branches everywhere in the United States but if you get your pay check electronically than who the hell really needs to visit a branch anyway? www.us.hsbc.com
