This in addition to the preferred plus are the best personal use cards Chase has to offer at the moment. What appealed to me was the first year waiving of the annual fee and the sign up bonus. Its one of the best sign up bonuses on the market today and the no annual fee makes it a no brainer. You have 90 days to quality and in some instances you have to spend either 2000$ or 3000$ to receive a bonus of 400$.

The card itself is also a step up from the regular plastic cards. It is not weighted the same as a Centurion or Visa Black but is heftier than regular cards. People will notice and be impressed by its heavy duty metal like material.

This card doesn't have the perks of the high end cards but I have seen Chase do some occassional special things for select members. I'm not sure how they choose them but I have seen one set of card members win a chance to be on Bravo's Top Chef as guest judges claiming that these card members have a bit of prestige. Nice to see and wish I was chosen !

Customer Service
The customer service is about the same as any regular Chase card. I would have liked if there was a dedicated line that distinguished the service from this one and all the other more common cards. I did lose my card once ( or had it stolen ), not entirely sure. I had to request a new one. They did say they would have a replacement out within 2 days but failed to do so. In exchange they did offer me bonus points which valued approximately 25$ which is a step up from the conventional compensation offered with lesser Chase cards. I'm not sure why but I have seen this as a common issue when issuing new cards by Chase however I am overall very happy with the customer service.

Nothing special, the annual fee waived in the first year is great.

After 7+ yr relationship with Sapphire, we must cease using the card. I booked a hotel thru their Rewards site. After the purchasing the room, our details page clearly states where and how to cancel or modify reservations. The rate dropped $100 per night on their site, and we tried modifying the reservation and are blocked. Apparently there is a hidden no cancellation policy, and the notification was enclosed in the policy pages. The Customer Service experience has been unacceptable, offering us 2500 points = $30. The difference is costing us over $500, which would not happen on any other travel site. BEWARE of the hidden agenda!

Apparently there is a hidden no cancellation policy, and the notification was enclosed in the policy pages. The Customer Service experience has been unacceptable, offering us 2500 points = $30. No blackout dates, decent rewards.

I have been a member of this card for 7 years now. In comparison to bank cards and rewards cards, it is pretty good. You get 1% cash back on all purchases, and receive 2 to 3% cash back on fuel or restaurants. Additionally, they sometimes offer promotions where you can receive up to 5% back on certain rewards. Further, when using points, there are no blackout dates on airline miles, allowing you to book with any carrier, for any date, to any destination.

Customer Service
They are helpful in resolving issues. I had a few problems with not receiving points, and upon calling in for support, they immediately updated my points. Additionally, they are friendly, they are knowledgeable, and they provide you pointers on how you can upgrade to receive more points, if you do travel often.

Available Rates
The points returns are great, and far higher than competitors who offer cash back. I receive at least $150 cash back with this card annually, in comparison to only about $75-$100 with other points cards that I own.

The card is heavier and I love it when people say how cool my card is. It gives you great airline miles awards and 40,000 bonus miles upon using it for the first three months.

Customer Service
When I call the customer service line, they answer--always on the 3rd ring, how may I help you Ms. XXX, they know my name! I love it, personal service. I've never been put on hold. I've never heard elevator music. I'd recommend this card to everyone.

My special blue card

I like the way people react to this card when they first hold it, the card is sleek and weights more than the regular credit cards I have in my purse. I am very pleased with the customer service and never had any issues with them. It was always a short call of me requesting some transactions or changes, and that's done with no hassle.

I really appreciate the Fraud Protection services, I have my card used a few times in barnes and nobles for a purchase in a place i have never been before. The call and alert was quick and they were able to prevent it. There was another incident where it was few hours after we stopped at a known gas station to refill tanks, someone else were trying to use it. We got our alerts and my collegue had used the same gas station before with another credit card.. and he was a fraud victim, only that they called him up after it was used.

I like their end year review program where at the end of the year, you receive a 7% points dividend on all rewards earned, spent or unspent. This raises rewards rates and base points. We travel internationally almost at year round, with their protection services I had the confidence to swipe my card in another country not worrying about what happens after that. Oh, and they do not have foreign transaction fee.. but do remember to call the Customer service in advance to let them know that you would be travelling, otherwise your purchase may/can be blocked!

I am a big fan of paying cash for things, but I do feel that there are some cases in which a credit card comes in handy. After researching a lot of different cards I decided on the Chase Sapphire Card.

The number one reason that I chose Chase is the fact that it is a trusted company. I like the fact that they really haven't had any security problems like other cards. In addition, I like the fact that they can be used almost anywhere. I have also never had a problem using the card, it has always worked and the system never seems to be down.

The next reason I really like the Chase Sapphire Card is the fact that it offers really good rewards. The rewards are really easy to get and they never expire which is awesome. Also if you have a problem, it is really easy to contact customer service and get the problem taken care of.

I would highly recommend this card for those looking for a card that offers great benefits and reliable service.

Great if you travel internationally

This card you need to pay $99 as annual fee but the first year is exempt. Chase often has promotions where if you sign up for this and spend about $3000 in the first three months they give you 40000 points (that $400 cash back). I signed up with the promotion and it was very easy to get the bonus points. I don't think it was worth it for me to pay the annual fees so I canceled it before the first year. They were very helpful through the process and didn't give me any trouble when I tried to cancel.
If you do travel a lot internationally, this card doesn't charge foreign transaction fees so it might be worth it to pay the annual fee. If not, I thought Chase Freedom without the annual fees is the better everyday credit card to get bonus points.

I canceled within 6 months but they were super helpful and didn't have any problems.

Wonderful bonus

I got this card because I was promised a substantial amount of points once I charged a certain amount of money. There is no fee for the card so that was an added bonus. I did, in fact receive almost $400 worth of pints as promised so it was spectacular. They also have a dividend award after 12 months although they start charging a fee for the card at that stage. It is a perfect card for someone like me who charges a lot but pays the bill in full each month. I was able to use my points to pay my self back so it is basically free money!

Customer Service
The customer service is phenomenal. My card was recently hacked and I received a voice mail and an email from Chase within 24 hours. Once I responded the Fraud Department spent 15 minutes with me on the phone verifying my information and ensuring that no erroneous charges were made. I will be getting a new card within 3-5 business days.

I will acknowledge that I do not note rates on credit cards because I never carry a balance so they are not relevant to me.

Chase Sapphire Preferred Card is Great!

When I walked into my local Chase branch, the last thing I wanted to hear was a request to sign up for another card. But I heard it anyway, and I am glad I did!

The Chase Sapphire Preferred card presents a number of great rewards. The biggest reason I accepted the offer was the no foreign transaction fees bullet point. That saved at least $100 when I went on my honeymoon in Europe (most cards charge at least 3 percent). Another bonus was the 40,000 points if you spend 3,000 in the first three months. Those points equated to $400, which easier took care of some of the expenses on my honeymoon. Two points per dollar spent dining and a bonus point for booking travel through the Ultimate Rewards website helped increase the cash back even more. And, in the first year, the $95 annual fee is waived.

Earlier this month, I found the $95 annual fee on my card. I thought about cancelling it, but then asked myself why. So many great rewards and bonuses, many that will add up to paying that fee. Throw in rental car coverage, airfare discounts, travel insurance, etc., and you have a card that can't be beat! Just last month, I made almost $30 cash back. This card rewards and rewards and rewards. Forget the fee being charged to your account; you will make it back and then some! (The only con is a high interest charges, so pay this thing off every month to avoid the interest.)

Chase Sapphire

We've had this card for years and consider it to be our primary card for all purchases. It is the one card that we would never leave home without.

Customer Service
Very seldom have had to contact customer service but they are always there and expedite help when you need it. Had one issue with a fraudulent use of our card and that account was closed and a new card sent without any delay. We had only been inconvenienced a couple days as a result.

Available Rates
Rates are high but it doesn't make much difference when you pay the balance off each month.
