Visa Signature cards already have a wide variety of benefits; car rental insurance, warranty protection plans, higher credit limits, etc. but these come with every Visa Signature card.

What sets the Chase - Marriott Premier Visa Signature apart is two things; higher earnings in selected areas, and an annual free night (which usually more than makes up for the annual $65 fee).

When you use the card to pay for dining, car rentals, or airline tickets, you earn double Marriott points (which can be redeemed for rooms, converted to miles [not a great conversion rate], or used to get room/mile packages [good conversion rate, almost 1:1, but remember you may have earned them at a 2:1 rate!]).

On acceptance, you'l get a cert good for a free night at any Marriott class1-4 hotel. On your card's anniversary, you'll get a cert good for a free night at any Marriott class 1-5 hotel. Carefully used, these can be really valuable. Our last use was to get a free night in Paris, France, where the rate would have been >200 euros a night, or about $320 after currency conversion, a fantastic bargain in exchange for the $65 annual fee!

The card also gets you Silver Elite status in Marriott's program, a nice perk on occasion.
By carefully making this one of the cards in your wallet and using it selectively, you can maximize your miles/points earning potential.

I have the Marriott Rewards Premier Visa Signature card, but today was solicited by Chase (the bank) to apply for another such card. This solicitation stated that Premier Visa Signature card holders were entitled to a free one-year membership in Priority Pass (airport VIP lounges). Has anyone else invoked this particular privilege?
