I used to use another card exclusively until they lowered their cash back payments. I then switched to the CHASE FREEDOM CARD (thru chase) when I found out they pay a straight cash back of 1 percent on all purchases and 2 percent additional on 15 different catagories (3 without a checking account and 5 with a checking account. The best part is they pay on the most used catagories each month. (they can change from month to month). You can withdraw when you reach $10 (with ckg a/c) or $50 (w/o ckg a/c) or you can save up till you reach $200 and get a check for $250 (best deal). So now I charge almost everything even Sunday morning bagel & paper. (LOL)
This site has asked me to change the percent sign to the word 'percent' as they won't recognize the review so I did. Then they tell me I must make the review 'long winded ' and use more than 900 words to make it count so I will try to expound this review.
I had trouble trying to pay online thru Chase ckg a/c - transfer - method. If you want it to hit the account today (real time) you must hit the sites 'pay card' button otherwise it could take 2-3 days for it to hit the acccount and you will be hit with 'late fees' and a finance charge as Chase Bank does not transfer on the week end but Chase Freedom Card does work on the week end, I know since it happened to me and they not only had a late charge added and a finance fee but after I got the charges reversed thru a call and a 'one time courtesy' reversal, the next bill came in with an additional finance charge for the two weeks that came after I had paid 'IN FULL' my balance. I tried to get anther 'one time' but the customer service person said 'NO CAN DO' send a letter to credit card area, but I did them one better and sent an email to them and got a flat 'no can do' charge stands. BUT they gave me a phone number to call if I had a problem with the charge so I called and after 2 minutes of thelling them I was going to pull out of this 2 finance charge a month company they reversed the 2nd charge and gave me instructions on how to avoid the 2 day lapse in cash movement (as I explained above.) So I am well on my way to the big payoff $250 and should be there next month.
Well I can't drag this out any longer so I guess I will have to settle for no points on this but I hope it helps you decide about the CHASE FREEDOM CARD.
