The Amazon visa card has some cool rewards, but the amount of points that it takes to get to those rewards is rather high. While they lure you in with the 25 dollar discount on your first purchase, and generate use with the double points for the first 60 days, after that the card loses its advantages. Once you no longer are receiving double points for your purchases, the rewards rate is slow, for most things a point per dollar, and the rewards start at two thousand five hundred points. If you like to shop on amazon a lot then it is definitely more beneficial because you earn more points and earning amazon rewards is a little easier too. The interest rate at almost fourteen percent is definitely on the high side compared to most my other credit cards, and they do not have any promotional APR rates like many credit cards do nowadays. So again in conclusion, if you shop on amazon a lot, then this card benefits you, but if you're like me then that 25 dollar off discount is not worth it if you use this as your main card.
