Most HelpfulCredit cards are considered by many to be a necessary evil. They can really wreck havoc on one's personal finances, but they can also be the only means available in emergencies and they come in handy when making purchases on the spur of the moment. I have used many, many different credit cards over the...

I've recently had a very bad experienced with chase card company. I try to make a payment on the phone on the due date and asked them if I will have a late fee. The guy from customer service told me if I go online there will be no late fee before midnight I won't have a late fee....
read full review »Even though I still go to a mall every so often, more than likely it's to get a hair cut at my favorite barber shop, buy a new pair of prescription glasses or go to the movies at a multi-screen theater. Very rarely is it to do what I used to go to the mall for: to browse at my favorite bookstore, look for the latest CD, video or (after 1999) DVD at a "music and video store," or the occasional jaunt to a Toys R Us or KB Toys store to look for new Star Wars action figures.
Since, oh, 2001, when I used a complimentary Amazon gift certificate we received from BellSouth (now AT&T) for trying...
read full review »I got the Chase Amazon Card because I was buying an expensive gift for my mom on Amazon.com and they were offering 30% (or was it $30?) discount if you bought a card. It was a long time go so I don't remember the exact details. It was a good deal though so I signed up. I've since had the card for years and now use it as my secondary / once in awhile card. It was my primary for awhile but now my Chase Freedom is my primary because it has better rewards.
The Good Points:
I've had the Chase Amazon Card for a few years now and have really enjoyed using it. I have received several $25 certificates for spending so much on it. We use it each time we make any large purchase and my husband uses it for business. We haven't very often carried a balance and have never been late. I did have to talk to Customer Service one time a few months ago about a problem with a credit that did not show up, and they were very nice.
There is a place on Chase.com that you can set up reminders for yourself. I have mine set up to send me an email if my bill is not paid within five days...
read full review »I had the Amazon.com VISA from Chase for 5 years and paid every single payment on time. Then I submitted one payment online 45 minutes late. They charged me a $39 late fee plus finance charges on the balance. I called and asked if they could waive the fee based on my excellent standing, excellent credit, and the 8 other accounts (including a mortgage) that I have with Chase. They refused to budge an inch. Bottom line: Customer loyalty means nothing to them. I canceled the card immediately & will find one with better policies.
This is an amazing visa card..I saw my points jump so fast each time I buy a product from Amazon. The points can be redeemed for flight tickets whether domestic or international. In a year I gave gathered enough points just by buying products from Amazon so that I can get a free ticket to Hawai. That's cool. You dont need to spend more...Just by buying a WD portable hard drive (77$) I gathered 3000 points. I bought so many things from Amazon. There are many more merchants thro which you can redeem your points. you can also get electronic gc for Amazon during redemption.
