Charter is by far the worst company I have ever done business with.  Since they have a monopoly on the area, we're forced to either use thier service or stick with dialp and rabbit ears.  Nobody wants to go back to the 80s and 90s with rabbit ears and dialup, so we purchase cable tv and broadband through our local cable company.

Charter not only has problems from time to time with their signal, but the service is by far the worse I've ever seen.  It takes forever to get someone, then when you do it's not anyone local.  They speak very little english, and never understand what it is you're asking.  Even the simplest requests are misunderstood.  They commonly will tell you something, then when it doesn't get fixed and you're forced to call back, you're told something else.

The signal on the telephone goes out quite often, as does their cable and internet from time to time.  The phone service is terrible at best!  Numerous times you'll be on the phone, then lose connection.  The person will get an error message on call back, and you're forced with no dialtone. 

I've been promised a $30 deduction on my bill for a year now, but everytime I call back there's no trace of it.  Contacting Charter Corporate does no good either, as the request for better service has gone unnoticed.  Charter is yet another example of big corporations taking our money, and doing away with our jobs.  They outsource everything they can to save money, and sure aren't putting it back into their systems!

Bottom line, if you have the option of another cable service, or satelite service take it!  For internet customers, if DSL is available, it's probably a better choice.  Charter is by far the worst around for customer service, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.  You'll just be disappointed by doing business with them.
