Charter - Cable TV —
We attempted to sign up for their triple play offer and because it was such a nightmare I ended up cancelling everything I had with them, even previous subscriptions. Their tech was scheduled to arrive between 12:00 and 4:00 to install the phone modem. He did not show up till 6:00 started to install the modem and had problems. He worked till 8:00 pm and said it was too dark and too late. Our internet was now not working and had been before but we could use our phone. He said he would have them send someone else out to finish up.
A week went by without another tech showing up and no call from Charter so we called them up and they scheduled a tech for a Saturday. The tech showed up and worked on our internet connection for several hours and finally got it to work but intermittently. He said he would put in a trouble ticket to have them come out and fix the drop at the street level.
Another week went by and there was no call from Charter and no tech showed up the following Saturday as promised. Another call to Charter and another promise to get this fixed. Another tech shows up and says the first tech did everything wrong but he did not have time to fix it properly he strung the cable accross the lawn and said we should contact Charter to have them come out again and bury the cable (We have underground cable).
My husband called Charter and they said he could have a Tuesday or Friday appointment but someone would have to be home so everything could be tested after they were done. Four weeks later and we're still not completely functional. So I stayed home on Friday, waited all day and nobody showed up. We called Charter and they said that we were misinformed and that nobody had to be home, that they subcontract that out to another company and they had no control over when the other company would come out and dig the trench to bury the cable. I was so upset I cancelled all my services with them.
A week later a sales person called and asked if we would like to be new subscribers to Charter.
