comedy fan, a Johnny Depp fan, a movie lover, a fan of clever plots, DVD collector

    faster pace than 1971 film

    it's a remake, too weird, too much about Willy Wonka

I thought this would be great since it had Johnny Depp in it, and I'm a big fan of him, but I was wrong. I thought this version focused too much on Willy Wonka and less on Charlie than it did before. I didn't really like how the Oompa Loompas were just the one guy, even though he was pretty funny in some parts. This version also seemed a lot darker-minded than fun and imaginative like the original. I am usually a fan of remakes or different takes on original movies, but this one lacked to me.
