When I was getting a new toy-breed puppy I just basically went to the pet store and replaced the old dog's larger items with tiny ones. I saw the bag of Charlee Bear liver treats and thought they'd be perfect for a tiny puppy. I wasn't really sure because the big bag was cheap, they were 3 calories each, and they looked like oyster crackers, so maybe they were not the most tasty. I tried them anyway.
Heck yeah, Kilo loves them! When I am training him in puppy class, I have to start with little pieces of cheese to get his attention, but then I can switch over to the Charlee Bear treats once he gets the idea that it's time to train. They are great.
We've got the smallest red Kong Tuffy. You can just load that thing up with Charlee Bear treats, they are the perfect size for it! Usually if I have to crate him, I fill Kong and put it in to keep him busy. Whenever he sees Kong near the yellow bag of Charlee Bear treats, he goes nuts and runs into his crate to wait for the bounty. These are so great because they are lo-cal, too. I could fill up Kong all day and not worry that he's not going to eat his puppy food.
These are economical, lo-cal, tasty treats for any size dog. Kilo highly recommends!
