Only complaint is it's difficult to get food done in a timely manner when it's really windy and you risk the fire blowing out. Our 17-18 pound turkey came out golden brown on top, crispy, and very moist/juicy. Eating the skin was a little greasy. I thought I got way more meat off my turkey since no part of the turkey "sat" in basting juices to cook. Performance No complaints except the wind blew out our fire the first time we used this. Our first turkey took double the amount of cooking time it was supposed to on the windy day and despite us using the mesh covering. However, other, smaller turkeys and chickens we've done since have had times that went more along the book guidelines for how long they took to get done. Ease of Use Seasoning prior to each use is a bit messy because of the big seasoning chamber. Ease of Cleaning It has big parts that can be difficult to clean but you can burn most things off that would need to be cleaned. Cleaning the basket is really the big hassle. Durability We haven't used this a ton but it seems durable.

I bought the Big Easy the day before Thanksgivings because we wanted our guests to have a choice between a traditionally cooked turkey and an oil-fried turkey. Well, I changed my mind at the last minute and bought the Big Easy instead and am I ever glad I made the change. The turkey cooked on the Big Easy turned out great, moist inside, crispy on the outside and because it cooks with infrared instead of oil, I could put on a rub on the skin. The skin actually tasted so good, I had a guest literally feasting on the skin ... sounds gross but I actually considered having some extra myself. I'm planning on cooking a prime rib next weekend which I suspect will also turn out great.

We just used our Big Easy oil-less turkey fryer and I've got to say its the best turkey I"ve had. The set-up was easy and only took 2 hrs for a 16lb turkey, it has a drip pan so I used the juicsfor gravy.Hot turkey sandwiches.Even just as moist the next day. Nomore having the oven on for 6 hrs.I'm sure this will help with the elec.bill. Can't wait to do ribs, roast, ham and so much more.

I got The Big Easy this past holiday and all i can say is...awesome! It's easy to use, all you need is a full tank of propane and the ignitor lights up instantly. Your turkey will come out nice and brown. You don't get the full oil taste but what I did is gave the turkey a nice peanut oil rub before spicing the skin. Love this fryer!

I bought this last month and have used it twice so far.  First of all, let me explain how this works, because I couldn't figure this out by reviews before I purchased it.  There is an outer casing (what you see), then inside there is another metal cylinder where you put the food.  Between these two cylinders are the gas burners.  The gap between the two continues all the way to the top, where there are holes for the heat to escape.  I know what you're thinking, "the heat...escape?!", but yea.  You do not want the food to heat through convection (hot air), direct heat, or conduction (touching the hot metal).  Rather, the fryer works by heating up the interior metal cylinder and using the heat that radiates off of the metal to cook the food.  This results in a very clean, even heat.  The website says food takes about 10min/lb, and they're right.  It's 40 degrees here this time of year, so I left a 6lb chicken in there for about an hour and half.  Needless to say, it was overcooked by about 10 degrees lol.  So yea, it is fast.  Not as fast as a real fryer, but a lot faster than an oven.  Even overcooked and not brined/marinated, the chicken still came out more moist than normal!  P.S.  There's no preheating necessary!

Our family purchased the Char-Broil Big Easy Oil-less infared Turkey fryer  in order to prepare our family Turkey for Thanksgiving. We do enjoy the traditional flavor and taste of a oven baked turkey however after seeing this many of years on television, in stores, etc, we decided that we would be bold and brave and purchase this and try to make a turkey out of it. The cooking time was definitely less  then the traditional cooking time, menaing not having to get uo at 530 am to get the turkey in the oven. the flavor was very succulent and the juices of the tureky were well yummy. We were very pleased that we purchased this product and have recommended it to friends and neighbors to purchase it as well. We will absolutely, definitely use the Char-broil Big Easy Oil-less infared turkey fryer again!!!Thank you charbroil for allwoing me to sleep in on a holiday and not have to worry about the food!

The Char Broil Big Easy Oil less Turkey Fryer is a great invention the meat is moist  and the skin is crispy. It cooks the meat all the way through without the use of fattening oil.  The flavor comes through the meat and the turkey is so delicious.  Who would have thought you can have fried turkey without oil and it tastes so good.  I am well please with my turkey fryer and will continue to cook more than turkey in the fryer.

No hassle clean up should make this product very desirable to Dad's or even the most challenged in the kitchen. Another thing that is nice about this product is that it seems a lot safer than other fryers i have worked with in the past. If you are looking for a product that makes turkey frying very simple and easy to clean this is the product for you. Only downside is that you trade off a bit of flavor for the safety and ease of use of this product so you have to ask yourself what are you looking for this to do for you. I would say if i had to make a choice between a traditional turkey fryer and the **Char-Broil Big Easy Oil-Less Infared Turkey Fryer Electric i would choose the **Char-Broil Big Easy Oil-Less Infared Turkey Fryer Electric it is much easier to use and it is a lot easier to clean!******

We do not own this item yet, our first experience for this item was at our inlaws and they are always the first to try all of the new gadgets, some are duds others are really neat.  This would classify as good, i am still one who prefers the old fashioned way of deep frying, but this way does produce a pleasant tasting meal.  I suspect that to the true die hard enthusiasts, this item will not be the most appealing, but for the safety conscious person, it will be a pleasant addition to your kitchen and family get togethers.  I will give this a hands down five stars.

We bought the charbroil oil less turkey fryer last year for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  My husband wanted to fry a turkey, but I didn't want to have a vat of oil in the back yard and risk the safety, plus it sound very unhealthy.  So, I found this fryer and I knew we had to try it.  We bought it and it arrive shortly before Thanksgiving.  Make sure you check to see how big the turkey can be before you buy one.  We defrosted the turkey and added injectables the days before Thanksgivining and then about 11am we put our turkey in.  In about 2.5 hours it was done and it was delicious!  It cooks with infared heat, make sure you don't put the mesh top on until the last 30 minutes of cooking.  The turkey was juicy and tender and the injectables really complemented it!  It was much easier than baking it and our family enjoyed it!  We have since used it for Christmas and Easter (2 chickens) and everyone loved it!!  Worth your money and a great addition to any bbq or holiday.
