Chaparral Suites was central to shopping, dining, night life. The full breakfast was superb. It tasted good and it was FREE. Not like your usual continental breakfast at other hotels... Chaparral offered eggs, french toast, sausage, bacon, fruit, and if you wanted -- cereal. It was nice not having to figure out where to go for breakfast. AND, there was free happy hour from 5:30 - 7:30 -- they offered free drinks catering to the entire family plus popcorn. The room was very comfortable. I liked that the living area was seperate from the bath area as well as the sleeping area. And, there... read full review »

This hotel was absolutely the best I've stayed in years. The breakfast was magnificient & served at great hours. There was a cocktail hour(Actually 2 hours) of wonderful drinks, sociallizing & pool tables to have even more fun. The pool area was beautiful the way it was laid out & I had breakfast by the pool several of the mornings. The front desk handled all my questions & even gave me a room with a better view of the pool-they did everything right to accomodate us. I could'nt complain about anything because everything was so wonderful there is nothing to complain about. The housekeepping... read full review »

The Chapparal Suites was a convenient place for a short stay. The staff was very accomodating, especially the airport transport who was kind enough to drop us off for shopping on Main Street. Our suite was in dire need of renovation. The furniture was extremely worn, scuffed, dated. Felt pretty tacky upon entering. However, it was clean and everything worked. It was convenient to have a refrigerator, and there is a separate counter in the bedroom for toiletries. They seemed to be sprucing up the pool area, painting the paving stones around the deck. No view from the room, all parking... read full review »

Our family has stayed at the Chaparral Suites for many years. We have always enjoyed all the amenities that the hotel has to offer, as well as location. The rooms are clean and spacious. We especially enjoy the sitting area which is separate from the sleeping area and includes a sofa, table w/chairs, and refrigerator/bar. The breakfasts and nightly cocktail hour are outstanding. There was only one complaint I had during this stay. The pool is need of a little maintenance. The ceramic tile above the water line was noticeably dirty. This may seem minor, but it is not in keeping with this traditionally... read full review »

We enjoyed our stay here very much. We received a very good rate on a car rental at the property and received very efficient service. Everyone was very helpful and gave us great information about an Art Festival going on in Tempe during our stay. Our room was spacious and clean. Location was convenient to shopping in Old Scottsdale and to many local restaurants. We also enjoyed the breakfast provided each morning and we appreciated the quick response from room service when we ordered...our meals were delivered in about 15 minutes.

Shopping: Short Drive, Old Scottsdale is just a short drive...

Chaparrel Suites is just that -- a suite consists of a living room with bar/kitchen space (microwave, fridge & coffee maker), bath and a large bedroom. Lots of privacy and room for a mixed family group. The included breakfast was great. Not just cold cereal and rolls but a full breakfast cooked to order. Its a bargain for families & if you have teen bottomless pits, this is the place to be. The pool scene was active & fun. My only complaint was that it isn't really walking distance to old town -- be sure to rent a car to get anyplace you want to go.

Entertainment: Short Drive, Shopping, dining...

Not only is this hotel in a wonderful location (close to lots of awesome restaurants and shopping), the hotel itself has great amenities. There are two well-kept pools, free buffet breakfast, the rooms have three sinks each, two televisions, and just lots of room to splay out. Oh, and let's not forget the coin-op washer and dryer downstairs. For our week-long stay, it was such a relief to have it. We drove all over Arizona for our vacation and after our long trips it was great to come home to Chapparal Suites.

Shopping: Short Walk, The very large Fashion Square Mall is within blocks of the hotel....

The Chaparral Suites Resort of Scottsdale, AZ is a very nice hotel property. It was very clean and new. It provided a complete breakfast as part of the package and a happy hour for adults at the end of the day of which we did not take advantage. Our major complaint involves the water temperature of the two swimming pools. The pools felt like getting into a hot bath because they were so hot. The water was not refreshing at all. I know Phoenix is hot in July, but I would still expect a swimming pool to be somewhat cooler than the air temperature.

Nightlife: Short Drive, Dining and shopping...

We were plesantly surprised wtih our stay at the Chaparral Suites. Everything turned out very nice. the room was spacious and very well equipped with separate bedroom and living room/kitchen. Having free high speed internet was a big bonus. The cook to order breakfast was excellent and a great way to start off the day. The two swimming pools and jacuzzi were very well maintained and clean. The 4th Floor Restaurant offered some very good food at reasonable prices. I would stay at the property again.

Shopping: Short Walk, There's a big shopping mall and theatre within walking distance from the Chaparral....

Chaparral Suites Resort includes a great made to order breakfast in the morning and a managers reception at 5:30 with complementary cocktails. We enjoyed having a suite, with a separate living area with a kitchen bar area and a separate bedroom and two televisions. They have two pools, one which was very close to our room. The Scottsdale location was convenient to dining and shopping.

Shopping: Short Drive, Fashion Square mall is close with restaurants, movies and shopping

The Chapparal has very nice room suites quiet & comfortable even over the holiday weekend. The bed could have been more comfortable (pillowtopped) & bathroom needed a cauking update. The 2 pools were wonderful and really enjoyed the inclusive made-to-order breakfast. The happy hour was nice also -lots of people, the popcorn was not very tasty. Will go & enjoy again.

Shopping: Short Drive, Fashion Shopping Center & Old Town Scottsdale close by.

The Chaparral Suites Resort was very comfortable, and spacious. The service was good and the fact that there was a car rental desk at the hotel made it particularly convenient. No airport pick up and drop off hassle. Hotel has shuttle service from and to the hotel. Very convenient location for great shopping and dining locations in Old Town Scottsdale.

Shopping: Short Walk, Fashion Square Mall and some great dining locations are only a short walk away.

This was my first time in Arizona and "The Chaparral Suites Resort", was wonderful. I went for vaction and relaxation and that is just what I got. I was exicted by the breakfast. I was just looking forward to coffee and danish, but was truely surprised. It was a great location to some specialty shops and shopping and casinos. Staff was very friendly and courteous. I recommend this hotel to all those looking for a great stay for the value.

The Chaparral Suites was a great choice. We chose an affordable option in Scottsdale for our family. The room was adequate, service was good and the cooked to order breakfast each am was a good start before a round of golf. Location was wonderful, right on the boulevard and easy walk to fashion square and dining options. Enjoy.

Shopping: Short Walk,
