Chantours is a tour company specializing in day tours, yacht cruises, and luxury villas. My husband and I booked a day trip to St. Lucia (from Barbados) using Chantours and were blown away by the quality of service. They coordinated round trip flights from Barbados to St Lucia and back...We were picked up at our hotel by a taxi (pre-arranged by Chantours) and transferred to the Barbados airport, where a rep met us and helped us get our flight situated. We then flew to St. Lucia and were greeted at the airport by our tour guide, who picked us up in a Lexus SUV and immediately took us to a neat little place with gorgeous views for some breakfast. He then began driving us around the island from what felt like end to end, stopping at different points of interest for photos and souvenirs. Along the way, he stopped at a food stand and bought some local food for us to try, dropped us off at a volcano to explore and botanical gardens to look around, took us for lunch at a beautiful restaurant up in the mountains to sample the local dishes, and so on. The entire ride, he educated us about the island in a way that only someone who's lived there could do, from history to politics and everything in between. We were so thrilled, it was really the highlight of our entire vacation! For one price, we got our flights, the driving tour, admission to several attractions (the volcano and gardens), breakfast, lunch, and a snack. And we were the only people on the tour! Yep, just the two of us all day- it was wonderful.
