Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Lip Color Review

I love lipstick and lipgloss and wear it every day. Even if I'm just going to the store, I must put some on. I don't have that many lipsticks because I'm rather picky about the quality of the product and the colors I wear. My favorites tend to fall into watermelon and various shades of pink category.

 I used to wear Chanel lipstick way back when I was 21. I remember being impressed by the quality and how deeply pigmented and long lasting the color was. I decided that the time came to investigate the Chanel's color choices once again.

 I ended up buying a really beautiful color, called Libertine. It looked liked light pinkish coral, with some shimmer. However, when saleslady told me the price, I almost had a hear attack. Unknowingly, I picked a color out of their Luminous Lip Color collection which cost $30 each! After I recovered from shock, I decided to try it anyway.

On your lips it transforms into very natural looking light coral. My lips are not highly pigmented but it seemed to be couple of shades darker than my own lip color and it looks natural but brightens up my complection and brings out the color of my eyes. Actually, I think this color would look good on light, medium or dark skin. Its very smooth and feels incredibly silky on the lips. At the same time it doesn't bleed and last fairly long time. Usually if lipstick is very moisturizing it doesn't make it past coffee  but this one held up even through lunch. I reapplied it but there was still color on my lips.

 My boyfriend also complimented me on the color. He said he didn't realize I was wearing lipstick and that it looked really natural and pretty. I've been using it for the last few weeks and really love it. Once I run out I definately plan to repurchase and I'd love to try more colors. It comes in 34 colors alltogether. Incidentally, when  I checked it on Chanel's website, color swatch didn't look anything like the actual product so try it at the store if you can.
