Quick View: I really love Champion sports bras. This one is a gem. It controls bounce during even vigorous exercise but lets your natural curves show through. You don't feel bound or strapped down, yet you don't need to worry about jiggles. The T back allows free movement for your arms and shoulders and also helps to stop bounce. The thick under band is comfortable and supportive, eliminating the need for annoying underwire. All this and 14 color choices to boot!
The Sports Bra
This half-length sports bra comes in 14 colors, some of which offer contrasting piping. It has a T back which keeps straps out of the way and stops all slipping of straps. The bra is made of a thick, tough fabric that stretches but doesn't allow for bounce. This one has 18% lycra which is more than many, giving it more give stretch than others. The cups are lined in 100% polyester and you will never need to worry about show through. There are outside seams on the bust which help keep everything in place. Under the bust is a thick band which helps stop bounce. The bra feels thicker and heavier than any other I have owned. That is because it is made for high intensity activities and is so sturdily made.
My Experience
I expected the bra to be confining and uncomfortable. Not so! I was amazed when I pulled it on and my chest didn't feel like I was having a mammogram. Many high intensity sports bras use compression to basically strap our busts down. That works but it isn't very comfortable and it isn't flattering. This bra allows your bust to breathe and allows you to breathe as well. You don't feel strapped down because you aren't. The bra works by having amazingly thick fabric, a great design, bust support, and the wide under band. The bra comes in sizes 32A-38D.
When I pulled it on, I was pleasantly surprised at the fit. It wasn't tight and binding. I knew I was wearing a sports bra but I didn't feel bound or strapped down. My natural shape wasn't distorted or flattened. When I worked out, I was pleased to find that the bra, despite avoiding the strap down method, stopped all bounce. I could jump, run, dance, whatever and not worry about bounce. I remember wearing a so-called high intensity sports bra made by Hanes. I started doing a dance video and found myself literally draping my arm over my chest to stop it from bouncing around as I danced. That, my friends, is not a high intensity sports bra. The Champion Shape T-Back Sports Bra is tough. You wouldn't want to wear it for a stroll in the park. However, if you need support and want a sports bra that doesn't give you the uniboob look or make you feel suffocated, this one is it. Not only does it get the job done, it is flattering and comes in so many pretty colors that you will love wearing it.
My Viewpoint
This is a wonderful choice for women who need a serious sports bra but don't want serious confinement. 5 stars! I love it.
