The Chambers Hotel is very cutting edge in decor but very old fashion in its dedication to customer satisfaction and friendly service. For a New York hotel, both the room and the bathroom were spacious. The rain forest shower head was a definite plus. I wish there had been slightly more storage space in the bathroom for toiletries, but that is a nit. The bellman who took us to our room was very helpful and warm and the personnel behind the front desk made us feel at home for the three nights we were guests at the hotel. The Chambers was very comfortable, the room seemed much larger than most with a desk area and a table and two chairs. I liked the fact that the bathroom was separate from the vanity area and there was a sink with a long counter and there was adequate space for hanging clothes and they provided two suitcase stands. Perefct location, we received personalized attention. We wanted to play music so they brought us an Ipod speaker system to play our ipod. We asked them about restaurants and clubs and they brought us lists and told us their favorites and the pros and cons to each place. The staff went out of their way to make me as comfortable as possible. The room was comfortable and pleasant. The bathroom has a waterfalls shower what a great experience. Central Park and good restaurants are nearby. the staff at the chambers couldn't have been more accomidating. i arrived in nyc very early and they had a room available at 8 am to check into!
