Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser Review Summary

Doctor recommended Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is a favorite among our no frills reviewers. This gentle cleanser can be used with or without water and is pure and very easy to use. It cleans the skin on the face - and on the body - but never strips it of oils so even those with very dry skin can use Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser with no problems. Our skin conscious reviewers do report that this product doesn't always remove every trace of their stubborn makeup but, in general, they love the simplicity and the results of this cleanser. Looking for a good face cleanser? Look no further! We have reviews of all types for you to read and compare.

I have been using Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser for nearly a year and I'm amazed at how well it works on my skin. — About Cetaphil — Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is a dermatologist-recommended formulation that is designed for daily use and is non-drying to the skin. It is a fragrance-free, non-comedogenic cleanser sold by Galderma. The back of the packaging directs you to use the cleanser either with or without water. With water, you simply apply the cleanser to your skin, rub gently and then rinse.  The "without water" instructions direct you to apply a liberal amount of… read full review »

I used to be a dedicated user of Mary Kay skin care, however, my dermatologist told me that I didn't need this fancy skin care line, all that I needed was Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser.  Cetaphil is much more affordable than Mary Kay and does a really great job with my acne prone skin.  It is not overdrying and is very gentle.  The only fault that I have found, is that sometimes, it doesn't completely remove stubborn makeup, but after reapplication, my skin is very… read full review »

I have dry skin and my husband has sensative skin... so in comes our baby with BOTH.  Poor little girl! — We were using Mustela, and still swear by it!  It cleared up her baby acne and smells so good!  But she developed excema that wasn't just going away.  Our Dr suggested this, so we finally switched.  It's been a week and you can barely see where the (half dollar sized) spot was!  And her skin is so soft and clean!  We still use Mustella on her body, but Cetaphyl is working so well on her face, we might just switch completely! … read full review »

As I get older I am more concerned about my skin and its condition.  At a recent visit to my dermatologist I was diagnosed with rosacea.  My dermatologist recommended Metrogel.  They gave me a sample and a prescription.  The Metrogel sample was accompanied by a sample of Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Wash.  It is a double promotion and when I went to fill  my prescription I also received an even bigger sample of the Cetaphil. — I am so impressed by this product.  It is so gentle, yet it leaves my face feeling clean and soft.  It smells slightly… read full review »

As a person who has endured a lifetime of severe eczema, I can attest to the fact that Cetaphil is the gentlest, non-irritating cleanser on the market.  My dermatologist (who is one of the world's most prominent) recommended this for cleansing my painfully irritated skin.  The cleanser is gentler than plain water.  Even if you only suffer from dry skin, you''l find that Cetaphil will cleanse your skin without stripping it of precious oil.  It is a little pricey, but don' be tempted to use a generic version that cliams to be same thing.  It's not.  I made that… read full review »

Well I'm certainly not an expert on skin cleansers...I know what works for me. For years I tried many different facial cleaners and all of them left one problem time after time. Although my complexion is normally oily, after using other products I would have obvious dry patches on my forehead and around my nose. As I listen to the radio in the shower, I heard an announcer suggest to Bruce Willis ....Cetaphil for dry skin. I am very happy to say I use it daily and my skin neither too oily or dry. —… read full review »

I love this product, especially in the winter months. I have sensitive skin and it does not irritate my skin - in fact, it helps calm my skin if it's irritated. It is extremely gentle and can be used either with or without water. If you use without water and wipe off gently, it leaves a slight layer that helps moisturize your skin. I would definitely recommend this product, as it has helped my sensitive skin, sometimes prone to breaking out, become less… read full review »

This product makes my skin soft and smooth. I have tried multiple products from scrubs to gels to creams and after trying this I will never use anything else. It makes my skin soft and smooth and ready for makeup without using a moisturizer. While it costs a little more in the store the money saved on moisturizer makes it actually a bargain!… read full review »

I was advised by a medical assistant for a dermatologist to try this for my daughter (13 yr old). It worked wonderfully. She tends to have oliy skin and mine is combinmation and it works great for both of us. It never dries out our skin or stings or feels to harsh. It even handles her occasional bad break outs… read full review »
