Cerveceria Modelo Especial Review

* Bright gold beer with thick, frothy ivory head.

* Faint caramel malt aroma with late metallic hop note.

* Mildly sweet malt foretaste expands with light caramel flavor across the palate.

* Finish is rather short and reasonably well-balanced.  Metallic hop flavor appears.

* Body is light, carbonation is crisp.

I had the great opportunity to taste four similar imported Mexican beers side-by-side with fellow beer lovers.  Of the four- Sol, Corona, Corona Light and Modelo Especial, the latter was the best of the bunch, the others being too light or too sweet.  Modelo seemed to be the best tasting and best balanced.  The bottle itself is a bit unique...
