I attended Cerritos College as an adult, part-time, in the evenings, while working a full-time job and caring for my family. I found all my general-ed. classes to be interesting, the professors were excellent, and the campus itself was very well-kept, easy to navigate, clean and secure. Every staff member I interacted with was more than willing to help and often went out of their way to do so. Their library is awesome and the librarians are accessible and extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Because the professors see so many students who are slackers and feel that they should get an "A" just for showing up to class, if you show yourself to be an outstanding student who is trying hard, you will get all the help and attention you need to succeed. Besides the general ed classes, they have many vocational programs such as auto repair, electronics, and early childhood education certificates and degrees that can be finished in 2 years. This is also a great place to get your first 2 years of general ed at a smaller, more affordable campus, before transferring to a 4-year college or university.
