Post Alpha-Bits

Post Alpha-Bits
a cereal lover, a student of flavor

If you occasionally enjoy sweetened breakfast cereal in milk, Alpha-Bits are for you.

I swear, Alpha-Bits are ten times more delicious than the last time I tried them several decades ago. Once the silly little sugar-coated letters of oat and corn hit the milk and then your tongue, it's like a seratonin drip straight into the pleasure centers of your brain.

Buy two boxes instead of one; you'll need them. Why? Because Alpha-Bits are ridiculously delicious in milk yet not filling. What that means is, once the flavor hits your tongue, you'll scarf down a bowl and find yourself filling the next bowl...

These are great for on the go or just a quick at home snack, or for breakfast. These can be eaten in the car at school snacks also. My son has to carry healthy snacks to school now so this is great, I can put a few in a baggy and a carton of shelf life milk and he is good to go. Sometimes he has eaten them in the car on the way to a function or errands i have to run before going home after i pick him up from school. If i know i will not be gong home right away i will pack a few and some milk and these will hold him til we do get home WITHOUT having to stop at a fast food place spending time and...

When Kashi Go Lean first came out it was all the rage. I saw the commercials and heard great reviews from friends.  After all the hype I was interested in getting a taste of Kashi Go lean.  I love the fact that kashi is made with whole grains.  However, Kashi is full of sugar!  I couldn't believe how much sugar was in once serving of the go lean  I bought the cereal anyway and it tasted awful.  Kashi Go-Lean has no flavor and gets soggy very easily in milk.  I was very disappointed in my purchase, especially when Kashi is one to two dollars more expensive than other brands with whole...

Kellogg's Special K Chocolatey Delight Cereal

Kellogg's Special K Chocolatey Delight Cereal
Chocoholic & healthy eater

Before adding milk, the flakes and bits of chocolate taste alright. But once you pour on the cold milk, that "chocolately" taste gives way to parafin.  The flakes do keep their crunch and flavor -- perhaps from wax?  But I bought this cereal for chocolate flavor, not the flakes.

"Chocolately Delight" was neither chocolately nor delightful, a big disappointment which fell far short of expectations built by its advertising.

I eat it about everyday with ice cold mild and it even tastes good hot too. I even got my husband to like it too. Definitey not too sweet and is full of nutrients and vitamins, without having a too bran flavor, great for the whole family.
